I’d read if you received unemployment since the first $10,000 of that isn’t being taxed if you would already filed your taxes you need to have a tax professional help you with your amended return? Well I had the idiots at Jackson Hewitt do mine which makes me an even bigger idiot and I would trust my four-year-old to do my tax return before I trust them again does anybody have any idea how difficult this might be I’m trying to avoid then because I’m sure they’ll try to charge a bunch of extra fee to screw up yet another tax return of mine

I got accepted 2/17 last week my amount on turbo tax refund changed because I’m assuming they manually fixed the unemployment 10,000 law they added. Still not update just glad to see something change

LOL I AM PRETTY SURE THEY GOT THE FACT TO NOT AMENDED FROM THE FIRST FEW PEOPLE WHO TOLD THEM NOT TO AND NOT IN A VERY NICE WAY! NOT EVERYONE WATCHES THE NEW!

DO NOT AMEND! IRS WILL MAKE THE ADJUSTMENT AUTOMATICALLY. ITS JUST A M ATTER OF WHEN.

Do not AMEND they said, they will automatically fix the taxes alrdy paid out and reissue the difference to people if your return is alrdy processed. If your return isn’t processed or sent to you as of today they will fix it first then issue the refund. Bad thing is they said it could take till May to do the adjustments which is BS.

I’ve read multiple things that stated do not amend the irs will adjust it. I believe the irs site even said that.
