      When I originally called the IRS they told us we were under review starting 2/3. But no letter was transcribed? It’s literally March 1st, if we’ve been under review for a while month wouldn’t a letter be sent? Also, the transcripts say N/A and under wages it says “no record of return filed” so if they haven’t even looked at our return, how do they know we are under review?

      The second IRS agent told us not to call back till March 30th and our return “would be processed for 8 weeks.” Not “it can take up to 8 weeks” but “it WOULD TAKE 8 weeks”

      The third IRS agent told my husband over and over that she “doesn’t have to help us” despite us being very kind, then when one of our toddlers yelled in the background she shouted “YOU ARENT EVEN PAYING ATTENTION TO ME STOP WATCHING TV”

      We had to take a break from calling because we were too frustrated from that encounter.

      I’m so confused on what to do. We get a different answer every single time, it’s like they don’t want to be bothered with us. We filed 2/1 so literally an entire month ago.

            Sounds to me like they are telling people that just to get them off the phone.

              @Melissa Is it just me or does IRS have someone in their department lurking sites like this and reporting them because it seems like everyone on here getting letters, under review, etc etc…I guess it could be worst like WMR telling us to “TAKE ACTION” I have seen a couple of ppl post about that

                @Annoyed101 i can’t access my transcripts either but they at least told me what code i was under when I called if they aren’t even giving you that you’d be a prime candidate for a tax advocate

                @Melissa
                i get a different answer everytime i call as to the “why” but usually the same code and timeframe, i have yet to see my elusive letter to that was transcribed on 2/10 🙄

                  I filed 1/21 and accepted that night. I finally called today after wmr staying on being processed for weeks now. I was told a letter was sent out to me today because I’m under review and it can take up to 45 days.

                  Why didn’t they send a letter until the day I called? 🤔🤔🤔

                  I was thinking of calling again tomorrow to see if I found a different answer.

                      Are you getting any 570 codes or have they given you a processing date yet? If not definitely reach out to a tax advocate they might at least be able to get you some answers.

                        Actually she does have to help you that is what customer service reps are paid to do…service customers. That’s nuts…looks like I’m gonna have to start jotting down their id numbers when i call now sounds like they are getting testy. I haven’t gotten jerks yet mainly just people who have no clue…lots of “uh,uh,uh,uh…let me put you on a 5-7 min hold” lol.

                          I would report her rude ass. How rude of her to say ” stop watching TV!” I would suggest getting a tax advocate that can speak on your behalf.

                          Just know that you are calling a call center and they are just looking at a computer screen and you are not speaking with the person who is actually reviewing your taxes. The nerve of that rep. Ugh.

                                Omg, the reps know we are at their Mercy for then to divulge what is going on with our returns when we call. Have you new transcript information (u order or view them??).
