TURBOTAX FEES

For those of you that filed with TurboTax and have elected to have fees deducted from refund: If you have not received your refund yet but have received an email saying that fees will be automatically taken from your bank account, call Intuit at 800 446 8848 and ask for your payment to be deferred. Called this morning and I was granted an extension. He said they would just take the fees from the refund as they normally do.

Update on fees

I F/A on 1/29. Received state taxes 2/21. Received 4464 letter 3/12. Received email from TurboTax on 4/1 saying that filing fees would be taken from my bank April 6. Called Intuit on 4/2. Rep told me that he was able to defer fees so that they were taken out of refund when received. Received email from TurboTax on 4/25 saying they would take my fees 4/27. Called Intuit on 4/25. Rep said that the notes showed that the extension was only for 21 days and she could not extend any further. So, apparently the first rep assumed I would have my refund by now (how silly of him to assume that lol). Now I have to call SBTPG to see if they can offer me any relief. Tracking this year’s refund is like a second job. I think I might call in sick.

Good tip, did the same thing and got mine deferred for 3 more weeks. (Wish it had been for 3 more months, I may need it!)
