I’m an extremely anal person when filing my taxes. To the point that I don’t even let TT auto input by scanning, I hand put it all in and make sure it’s all right about a billion times.

I had noticed that TT didn’t prompt for a 1095a and I did some research on it and was under the impression that health insurance was no longer required. Now I’m finding conflicting information and we were selected for a review.

Did this happen to anyone else?

Is it quicker to take action instead of waiting around for a letter? Would you need to amend?

I thought It’s only if you have market place health care.

did you have marketplace insurance? I would call them and ask if there are any errors on your return. I wouldnt mention the insurance until they do. You might slip through….

That’s a generic acceptance based on TT not finding any errors and being a trusted filer. I filed via TT and was accepted right away, too. Got my letter from the IRS yesterday.

They accepted it within minutes. It’s just been sitting in processing

I would call and see if a letter is en route. Health insurance isn’t required, but if you got it through the Marketplace and received and 1095a, you have to file it along with the form 8962 or else the IRS won’t accept your return.
