I’m seeing a trend. People are seeing the 846 code on their transcripts 5 days before their DDD.
My transcripts are all filled out as well, minus the 846 code. I don’t know what date they actually showed up because they were already there when I checked for the first time, which was this past Monday. I filed on 1/22, accepted on 1/23, and PATH msg on 1/30.
I was digging through last years feed, mostly looking for PATHers but I suppose it could have applied to anyone. But they started posting messages in the main news feed that their transcripts updated on the morning of 2/16 to show their 846 code for 2/22, then on 2/17 to show that DDD on WMR, That was 6 days–but it included a holiday.
@Jackie yes your WMR will likely update tomorrow with a dd for 2/13 if your transcripts have the refund release code 846.
I have 846 code with date of Feb 13 . So does that mean that’s my DDD? Cuz on wmr still on 1 bar
Transcripts can update any day of the week. The Friday transcript update is mostly for weekly accounts. Weekly WMR updates are Saturday. But daily accounts can and do update daily Mon-Fri.
@xenka That’s not true. My transcripts have been completed, 150 code return filed, 806 code W2 withholding, 766 code credit to your account, 768 code earned income credit since 1/31!!
I’m just missing my 846 code for refund.
My return has been completed for awhile, but bc I’m path they won’t release refund yet so the code hasn’t shown up yet.
Is it true that transcripts only update on Friday mornings? I read that somewhere but I’m new to transcripts so I cannot speak from any personal experience. If it is true, that would throw the theory off, since DDD’s could be on different days of the week.
It won’t appear on there until you’re done. But once it does appear on there, you’d see it with the other codes under the “Transactions” heading, the columns say “Code” “Explanation of Transaction” “Cycle” “Date” “Amount.” Code 846 is typically the last one in the list, and the date it shows is the date you’ll be getting your refund.
It’s the last line on the account transcript.
Where on your transcripts do you find this code? I am able to see my transcripts online but can’t find that code. Thanks!
