Yeah I’m just thinking logically but logic doesn’t always work when the IRS is involved.. also this refund can be garnished if you owe $. And I’m just curious why they are doing the single filers without dependents first.. seems a little backwards to me.

I do not think it works quite like that it depends on your personal tax situation. I know of about 6 people that have all gotten it back and none had the same amount all single filers and more than the 10,200 in unemployment and none of them got the full amount, IRS is so unpredictable do we will wait and see

Yeah unemployment has a tax of 10%. 10% of 10,200 is 1020$

dean that’s kinda what I assumed that if collected 10200 or more that just the refund on the taxes you paid on 10200 should be a little over 1k…..but it’s the irs so who knows?? and there is no calculation that I have seen to figure what refund you would get for this tax break….

12 weeks today, been “still processing” since late March. Filed/accepted 3/11 and no progress at all. The only one that shows a 2020 entry is the account transcript and it has an entry for a $56 refund from last year that I carried over. As of date is 4/26. Last time I talked to a person I was told I was in error resolution but they didn’t know why.

If someone got 74$ its because they didn’t pay taxes on their unemployment or they didn’t collect much. If you paid taxes on 10,200 refunds should be over 1000$

@joebob24,
I am right there with you. The only updates is my 2nd stimulus. I received the 3rd, but it is not showing up and neither are my income taxes.

My transcripts haven’t updated since I got the second stimulus. I received the third stimulus but it ever showed up on my transcript. It also doesn’t show they received my refund or anything. Filed in March. Anyone else have this issue?

Single no dependents so I’m part of the first group with the easy return they recalculated.

May 28, 2021 at 11:15 pm #4488561Tax code 570
My transcript has a processing date of June 7th but I have tax code 570. Does anyone know what this means, and they took $1700 stimulus off do my refund is $1700 less
