I was able to order return transcripts. Don’t know if that affect me because of the new Path law, but other years when I ordered them my bars went to slot 2. I have a cycle code 20170404? Last year my code was 20160505. I’m claiming eic and actc. Can someone explain the cycle codes again?

I was able to order both transcripts last night (1/26/17). This morning both bars had disappeared and I now have this message (1/27/17).

my cycle date says 20170404 and has a negative account balance in the amount of my refund.

Has anyone else who was able to get transcripts seen this?

I looked at my account transcript and it says processing date feb 13 2017. My 2015 says 2/22/2016 processing date but my money was in my bank on 2/09/2016.

I believe your code means
2017= year
04= fourth day of the week
04= week 4 on the calendar starting from the 2017 tax season opening date (1/23/17)

Your DDD should be 2/16/17

Last year my code was 20160502, I received my refund on 02/05/16.

Ok..question on transcripts…Me and my husband filed jointly just got married this year first year filing together.. We also moved this year so new address. When I went to order transcripts for my husband I was able to with new address. He was first listed on our tax return. But when I enter my info to get them in my ssn it say address doesn’t match? So im confused…people are saying once you can order transcripts your return is processed…I can get them for my husband but not me…is it cuz im second on the return?

I don’t remember the exact decoding. Has to do with the tax cycle that everything was posted (year, week, and day). It’s based on the IRS’s processing cycle. It points to an exact date, but it is parsed based on their cycle (i.e. 20160404 doesn’t mean 4/4/16). I don’t remember the exact code and it may have even changed this year.

I can say this: Last year, my Account Transcript showed a cycle posting date of 20150402 and “Refund issued 02-15-2016 $X”, but I received my money on 1/29. I had filed on 1/22. And the IRS started officially accepting returns on 1/19.

Like, you, I was just able to order transcripts. Mine shows a cycle posting date of 20160404 and “Refund issued 02-13-2017 $X”. I bet mine it comes earlier than that.

Can you check your Account Transcript and see what it shows for the Return Issued date?
