Im looking at my account transcript and it shows:\
150, 806, 766 and 768
It also says: RETURN DUE DATE OR RETURN RECEIVED DATE (WHICHEVER IS LATER) Apr. 15, 2017
PROCESSING DATE Feb. 13, 2017What in the world does that mean? Can they not just be a little more direct?

Thank you! Unfortunately my account transcript didn’t come. Only return. Hopefully Monday it will come in the mail. Should the return transcript come with a letter saying that it only shows my return but no changes made after? It was a generic letter, it didn’t say Dear Cassandra or anything.

@Suellen, first of all you would need your account transcript not the return transcript. The processing code and date should be in the section right near where it says the acceptance date which should be April 15th 2017. It’s generally about one-third of the way down the page from the beginning of the transcript. Below that it might show some other codes. If your return is not affected by the path act, you should see an 846 code next to a negative number which is your return amount if your return has been processed and your refund is on its way. If you’re return is affected by path act, you will generally just see the processing code and date near the top followed by some other codes that do not include the 846. Nobody will see in 846 until after February 15th if they are affected by the path act. Hope that helps! Sorry about any grammar errors I am on my phone and my phone is dumb, lol!

Yeah, @Fe, you got some stuff going on. Do not delay in calling the IRS as soon as possible. Please keep us posted and good luck.

February 11, 2017 at 2:45 pm #4167630Fe
@Carrie
And code 150
-
February 11, 2017 at 2:43 pm #4167628
@Fe, oh yeah, those are some nasty little codes. You need to call the IRS first thing Monday morning, if at all possible. I hope you get this cleared up as soon as possible. It is possible this can be resolved without too much delay, depending on your particular situation. Try not to stress. Sorry this is happening to you.

Sorry @Kiki, I see you are looking at the return transcript. You need the account transcript to see your codes and processing date or DDD, whichever applies to your situation.
If you are not affected by PATH Act, and your return is processed and your refund has been issued, you will see an 846 code next to your refund amount and the refund amount will appear as a negative number, e.g., -$1250, etc..
If you are affected by PATH Act, and all is well with your return, you may see a processing code and date near the accepted date. The processing code may say something like 20170505 or 20170403. The processing date may be 2/13/17, 2/20/17, or 2/27/17. This date will generally appear near the acceptance date of April 15, 2017, or something to that effect.
Hope this helps a bit!

February 11, 2017 at 11:30 am #4167398Crystal
Thank you @carrie101. I was finally able to get them all to view online. I’m stuck in path with a cycle of 20170605 and a process date of Feb 27 so I guess I won’t know anything for a week since I’m weekly. All my codes seem good and numbers match up so hopefully I’m just waiting. All I wanted was ease of mind I know I have to wait until after the 15th….Just tell me it’s approved lol but nope

@Renita Hinson I’m gonna make a new post to ask others to weigh in, because now that I have had my second cup of coffee, I do not recall anyone else having a 971 due to PATH Act. I’m sorry. Keep an eye out for the new thread, okay?
-
February 11, 2017 at 10:41 am #4167334
@Renita Hinson I would say to call the offset line, just to be sure this is not what the code is about. You might want to try the IRS on Monday, if you do not have any offsets, just to be sure.
-
February 11, 2017 at 10:16 am #4167305NonaSC
@Renita I had code 971 on my account transcript last year. Mine was due to a federal offset. They subtracted what I owed and then deposited the rest. Not sure if that’s what’s going on with you.
-
February 11, 2017 at 10:01 am #4167297Renita Hinson
@Carrie101
So long as there us not another code on them that 971 is not a worry -
February 11, 2017 at 9:58 am #4167296
@Renita Hinson, yes, that is a hold code. If you are affected by the PATH Act, it is mostly likely due to that. People will start seeing refunds next week and others will see theirs released in other batches over the next couple of weeks, beginning on the 15th.
If you are unsure, and you have the time, you may want to call the IRS to confirm this info.
-
February 11, 2017 at 9:55 am #4167293
@Crystal, it is due to people ordering transcripts that were not theirs and using them for fraudulent purposes. Last year at this time, there was absolutely no option to order any of them online. They have made it somewhat possible this year to order account and return transcripts, although I was not able to order, even with the requested ID verification info.

I was able to order both trannys but i have a 971 code ob them. Is that due to the hold with the PATH message. Help me understand. I also have a cycle date of 0505 and a 2/20 date on them. Help me please!

@matt YAY Matt! Congrats! Finally a DDD! You’ve been awesome! Enjoy that refund next week! :)
-
February 11, 2017 at 9:51 am #4167290
I finally updated to the PATH Act message this morning. This is what I was expecting and hoping for all week, as well as being able to order both transcripts as of yesterday. Looks like things are moving in the right direction! I’m happy! :)

GOOD morning!
I got my DDD(2/15) this morning after being able to finally order my transcripts yesterday. HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE
I filed 1/26

February 10, 2017 at 3:09 pm #4166773Crystal
Does anyone know why you can only order account and refund transcripts online for all years? Mine doesn’t give the option of all four transcripts for any of the years.
-
February 10, 2017 at 2:42 pm #4166729Deb
I was able to get the online transcript working for my nephew but I get the technical difficulty message when I try to do mine. What does this mean? I’m afraid that it means mine is being held up for some reason?
-
February 10, 2017 at 2:39 pm #4166728CynthlaLee
I filed 1/20 got accepted 1/23
Path act message 1/26
Ordered transcripts 2/4
Cycle code 20170405
Processing date 02/13 hope that means the 15th
I really don’t know how to read the transcripts lol -
February 10, 2017 at 2:20 pm #4166710Deb
What does it mean if I was able to order transcripts over the phone but I can’t order them online?
-
February 10, 2017 at 2:05 pm #4166693matt
You all have been great! I was worried because mine are taking a lot longer this year! Seems to be the case with most everyone. I will keep yall in the loop!
Filed/Accepted 1/26
No PATH Credits claimed
Transcripts by mail for TY16 2/10
1 bar on WMR -
February 10, 2017 at 1:58 pm #4166683
@Matt, of course, I don’t know for sure, but my intuition tells me that, yes, many people (especially weeklies) will see some type of update on WMR tomorrow. We’ll just have to wait & see. Think positive thoughts! :)
-
February 10, 2017 at 1:30 pm #4166654Cass
I can finally order transcripts by mail. Both of them
Accepted 1.29 still processing msg and TT152 no bars :( -
February 10, 2017 at 1:25 pm #4166651Jillie
Forgot to add that if you see code 846 on your transcript, it means you’re return is done processing. If you don’t see that code, it could take longer before your refund is released.
-
February 10, 2017 at 1:24 pm #4166649Jillie
@Matt, there’s no way of knowing. Suffice to say that if you were able to order both return and account transcripts, you should see some sort of update soon.
-
February 10, 2017 at 1:06 pm #4166627James
I was able to order transcripts over a week ago. Return was accepted 1-23. Still has the “processing” message like it always had.
