Transcript Requets

Just curious if anyone had requested and received a transcript this year. I’ve been thinking about requesting one as it may received with more of an update than WMR.

  Courtney that’s not true. The IRS doesn’t know why people are requesting their transcripts nor do they care that the reason COULD be to find out when they will have their deposits. It’s no skin off their backs. I had to request mine because of student loans and I’m in the process of buying a house. There are several reasons people request them.
  
  People are panicked enough, so please don’t spread rumors. I’m not trying to be mean just trying to add logic to this whole confusing thing.

  Just tried to request a return transcript and it says “A transcript is not available for the year you have requested. Please complete form 4506-T or contact us at http://www.irs.gov. Guess that means they still haven’t processed my return, not really a surprise since it was only accepted on the 19th.

  I heard they are not allowing transcripts to be ordered this year until afterwards because of the way people were following the numbers on them .

  you can try to request one, but try to request the return transcript. if your refund is done it will tell you they will mail it out. if you arent ready yet it will say not available
