Transcript question please help

So, I’m currently stuck without being able to click on my 2020 transcripts online. But, when the website was down today, I figured I’d give the old way of ordering them a try and ordered by the phone. Now, in the past, it wouldn’t allow you to order any type of transcript that wasn’t already complete. You always could order an account transcript….just like it’s always available now. But, the return transcript (I believe that’s what it’s called…it’s the one we all want to be able to access) was never available until a day before wmr updated with a DDD. But, tonight I was able to order all 3 options they have over the phone for transcripts.

So, I was excited to check the website once it came back up. Unfortunately, nothing has changed for me, and I still can’t get the top 2 options for 2020 from the website yet. So, this is what’s gotten me confused. Why was I able to order it over the phone, if it’s not ready yet? The phone system only gives you the ability to order 3 transcripts over the phone for any year, and I was able to order all 3 options.

I even went and ordered my 2019 just to make sure that previous years didn’t have another 4th transcript that I could order, but they all were the exact same. Actually, the system asks you what type you want to order BEFORE it asks you what year your wanting. So, not sure if something has changed with the phone system? But, because of this…..I don’t know what to think anymore about it?

What I’ve read on here is that the IRS **will** send you a transcript that’s blank.
