tossing my situation in to the rink, if anyone has any input /encouragement maybe.? got CP75 end of February. filed same 3 dependents (one with different last name) as have past 3 years, never any issues. sent it all documentation requested certified mail either 2 or 3 weeks ago. WMR still says take action151

Frustrated I got CP75 notice on 2/18/20 fax documents on 2/19/20 they still saying they haven’t received them I was told to refax I did on 3/2/20 and 2/5/20 this is the most annoying situation to be in help

I got a 556-S letter and yes, I got the 886 form. I faxed everything including my 1098-T back Sunday morning.
I’ll try calling them on Tuesday or Wednesday to see if my fax was received and processed.

@Missy and I feel exactly where you’re coming from. They should review the people who have made noticable changes vs the people with consistent filings. I pray that everything work out for the both of us because I’ve never been through this before in my life and to see other ppl with updates is making it more irritating because you’re trying to figure out what’s the hold up. I’m calling indefinitely in the morning.

Yeah this whole audit thing is bs. It basically tells me if I dont do anything they will just take my right earned money but If I fight for it that it can take up to next tax season to get it. This is not fair or right. I could understand if things had changed on my return from years past but everything but my job has been the same for years same dependents same everything. Darn it my kids are my kids and I shouldn’t have to prove it after all we have been through.

4464c is different from cp75. That’s why ur friend got a ddd, she didn’t have the take action hard home on wmr

@missy it was a 4464C letter checking for accuracy. I just checked my transcript for wages online and it says no file of tax return, when I filed January 29th and got accepted so I’m guessing they’re waiting on verification from employer which should’ve been done but it’s cool I’m calling indefinitely tomorrow morning.

I got cp75 letter. Want me to send proof of eitc. Don’t know how I’ll do it because I live with my mom and all utilities are in her name. I give her money to help her out. I don’t have proof of that either. I don’t save receipts of every penny I give her. She is disabled and can’t work.
Anyone know what should I do?

@Erica What was ur letter code? I mean either way things are going to take 30 days..30 for review 30 to respond..30 to send. it’s all a mess..thats why I just amended and put things inside the envelope..amend takes around 30 days..or well it has for me..you might not even have to do anything..it could just update for you..I just done that while I wait..

@erica was it a cp75 audit letter. Cuz that is what I got… I have filed the same way for 10 years. Same dependents and all. Only thing different is my job. And my fed was 1 thousand higher.

@Missy my friend got a letter dated for February 14 but got a DDD for March 4th yesterday so it’s possible. I got a letter with the same date as her but no DDD, I fule the same information every year same kids for over 20 years. I’m guessing it depends on the situation. My tax preparer said it’s just an estimate but shouldn’t take that long. It’s just something the IRS is doing new.😑

I just dont know what to do. My wmr says take action still. I got the letter dated to March 2nd. 2 people said only review no letter sent. 1 person said audit with letter sent. I’m frustrated. Wish people would say something if they got this letter too and still got refund without having to deal with them more.

Dont let that letter scare you..they mailing people all kinds of letters then get their refunds and whatever you send them going to take another 30days. I filed an amended return..

@lovelygirl. Well I finally got my cp75 letter yesterday. I am officially being audited for my eic. This is some bull crap. I have 30 days to send a whole bunch if paper work in and hope they do it fast like they want me too. We shall see. Praying for others who have these issues too.

@taxcane what form did you get an 886 or something? What was the whole form..i got that also. Even though trans dont say 971 notice. I’m not sending anything else. I find it odd also I think the rep generated the form when I called. They’re making up stuff

I received my letter which they needed verification of the 1098-T form. I fax that and the letter the sent me earlier today. I know the office is closed. I am going to call first thing in Monday to see what my status will be regarding the review.
I find this strange though. I have always claimed education credits. So I am not sure why this was even flagged with them as something they need to review. 2020 Tax season just seems off to me with so many people getting flagged for review.

@Missy You can download Fax app’s if you have a smart phone. Setup a fax app account. Then call the IRS early in the morning (800) 829-0582 Ext. 652 and tell them you need your return and account transcripts for 2019 for housing or school. The will fax cause I have done it and many others have

My wmr says take action under review. Called 3 times 3 different stories. I cant read transcripts. Been told I have a letter then i dont have a letter coming

That’s what you paid in while at your job. Its owed to you they holding out credits for verification or was verifying is what one as told. I’m so over the IRS. I been waiting since mid January. This probably will take all. I went on here and searched old posts under 2019 took some people till December. Just search take action 151 on Google 😥

Did your transcript date change at the top? Mine says March 16. What is the date beside your 420? That date by the 420….add 30 days to it..your letter may come around that time..

@Pissedviv Yes, They deposited it on 1/29. I got it a few days early with my american express card..You may get your withholding early also.. They said it was in exams but may not even get audited or anything..just wait 45 days ..transcript as of date at the top says 2/17/2020 been stuck for weeks..

been waiting since jan 24..thats when the 420 popped up on my transcripts..and they still dont have notice issued code 971. but I called feb 21 and rep said 1 was just mailed that day..smh waiting on education credit you?

Yall may want to check ur transcripts . i had a 424 exam request and it turned into 420 examination. they told me to wait for the verification and also said it may not go that far..

I was told I would get a partial refund but the EITC will be held and under review. They sent out CP75 today.

Nope I haven’t received anything yet. I have tt 151 and suppose to receive my fed with holdings but not my EITC or CTC. 30 day review is what is says on the where’s my refund website.
