FILED 2/13 ACCEPTED 2/13 RECEIVED AN ERROR MESSAGE SAYING AGI DID NOT MATCH PREVIOUS YEAR (WHICH WAS WEIRD BECAUSE I USED TT AND IMPORTED THE INFORMATION) CORRECTED IT AND STILL ACCEPTED LATER ON 2/13/21; IM FILING JOINTLY AND HAVE CLAIMED EITC AND CTC; STILL NO BARS OR UPDATES.

I am on the same boat. My refund was accepted on the 12 of February and it’s still processing…. bars gone.. been trying to reach the irs for weeks.. I was just able to talk to someone a few minutes ago.. they told me my refund has been sent to the error department… error code 100.. and that it will only take 3-4 days to be fix and that it was a minute error.. mind you it’s been over 30 days. No letter no movement no nothing… does any one know what error 100 mean ???

STILL have ad of 2/22 and N/A on transcripts; STILL processing with lost bars and TT152 but not amount. Claimed EITC. CTC, unemployment funds, SE and Lookback.

I was accepted 2/11, yes, 2/11. I have had no update since 2/11, called them, “Nothing is wrong with your return, please give us some more time.” That was 2 weeks ago. Transcripts are sill N/A. I did however, receive the stimulus, on my new bank account that is on my 2020 return as my old bank has been closed. So, who knows!

Filed taxes on 2/13/2021 was accepted by the IRS 21 days would be 3/6 looked at wmr on 3/5 it was normal with bars and then on 3/6 looked and saw the message below.

so I finally got through and the IRS rep told me that when the file is accepted, there has been a 2-5 day delay in the file actually getting looked at. The 21 days starts the day it is looked at. She said they are receiving a huge amount of calls about this. She said WMR will update when the return is processed along with the transcripts. Hopefully this is accurate info. Hang in there everyone!

Maybe this will help a little. I’m in the same boat. Filed and accepted 2/13 but as of today still nothing. Currently on hold with the IRS. I found this on the web:
“Congress passed a law that requires the IRS to HOLD all tax refunds that include the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) until February 15, 2021, regardless of how early the tax return was filed. So, if you file on the first day, you might still be waiting until February 15 for your refund”.

Filed with H&R Block. The website shows accepted on 2/13/2021. Irs website says still processing. No refund date .. I did have a baby and applied for the back pay of stimulus for said baby. I also got the credit for making less money in 2020 then in 2019. So I’m hoping that’s what is taking it so long. Maybe they have to verify I actually had a baby so they don’t want to over pay stimulus. I don’t know.

No offense but please don’t start the lawsuit talk. They haven’t done anything that would be remotely viable for a suit. They say 9/10 people receive their refund in 21 days. That’s like clorox saying it kills 99.9% of bacteria. Anything that doesn’t apply is in that 9/10 or 99.9%. 9/10 gets to be pretty high when you’re dealing with millions of people. What did they do that broke the law?

The fact is, anyone that filed before 2/16, got screwed and will have to wait it out. Anyone that filed after 2/16 already has there refund. They tell us, from multiple sources, to file early, then they screw us and process us all last. It’s hardly fair and should be grounds for a lawsuit in my opinion.

I had one bar until a couple of days ago. All of the bars are gone now. The Tax Topic line disappeared the first day the bars were gone, but then came back after midnight the next day. Still no bars.
It still shows a tax topic. I don’t understand. This has never happened to me before and I’ve been filing taxes for awhile.
I claimed my daughter’s $1100 stimulus that I did not receive during 2020 and I have EITC. I used FreeTaxUSA to file.

Sounds like they are still trying to do the path hold to me except other people are still getting returnsbwho should be considered path. I think it’s stupid that a government agency doesn’t have the computing power to handle this when they know the scope of information they are dealing with. Considering how important taxes are to the economy you would think the budget would be bigger.

For most people, there will be no movement on your Transcripts until Friday (or later). If it updates Friday with an 846 code, that will be your only guaranteed way of knowing. If you cannot see your transcripts, then you will have to rely on WMR which is notoriously undependable.

I was accepted on 2/13 and I am a Pather and still no movement. However, I compared all of my past returns since the Path Act became law and I have gotten mine on the last Wednesday of February every year. My cycle code is 05 btw, if that helps. So right now I am just keeping calm and expecting a random deposit tomorrow around 1pm which has been the same time every year the day b4 it says I am supposed to get them.

Andrew – when you look at your transcript – look for code 846 – it should be at the very end of your transcript

I don’t think your transcripts populate until there’s an initial attempt to process it. I believe 1 bar (return received) means your return is in queue (in line), not necessarily that processing had begun.
