There’s no pattern at all as there usually has been in previous years. Updates are happening when they shouldn’t, during times that are not even update times, people are updating on days they normally wouldn’t, all different cycle codes got DDDs, dailies & weeklies got DDDs, people in test batches people that filed literally days ago got DDDs. This year really is insane! Sunday has normally never been an update day it’s only maintenance but with how things are going I’d say absolutely ANYTHING is possible. I also suspect some prepaid card users might start to see DDs drop. Boy I hope every year isn’t like this I hope this is just because of the shut down 🧐🤔

I have worked at multiple call centers, I don’t know if the IRS operates the same way as EVERY single place I have worked for in the matter of having “generic scripts” that they read to people.
Anytime, I mean ANYTIME you call someone if they don’t give you the information you desire ask to speak to whoever is in charge of them. They are answering to someone, you can’t tell me that every single person you get on the phone are supervisors or managers. Sometimes it will help, sometimes it doesn’t.
I am still looking at, “being processed.” Filed 2/6 and accepted 2/6, haven’t seen a thing but processed since the whole ordeal started. I am just hoping to see something this week, I understand they worked without pay but we lost our only source of income as well due to the shutdown. I guess the only thing we can do is toss tax dust around on everyone hoping that the luck will spread for all of us

Yes this tax season proves that the irs can do whatever the hell they want and all we can do is wait 😫😒😔

Exactly. I’ve done this for at least the last 10 years (watching patterns, etc) and nothing is the same. People still give out the same old comments about you won’t update until this date because you’re weekly (which turned out Not to be true) or you won’t get it until the 27th (we know the generic irs messages are the same every year so that has NEVER mattered. We’re just gonna have to watch accounts imho.
                I despise this tax year.

Definitely hate the IRS this year. My 21 days is February 19 and I haven’t got a DDD or an update since February 1st. I filed 1/29. I’m over them literally. Being backed up is honestly no excuse in my opinion to not Atleast update the public. They stay hiding.

Typo I forgot to add the irs rep told me that they were not able to process any returns that had the path act untill 2/15 if they did not have another shut down (I really feel they just say anything to get me off the phone ) who knows

I agree insane. I updated twice between being processed and still being processed yesterday and then i received no further updates like majority of others did. …piss’d….same job same credits …

I have a friend that works for the IRS she said they went 35 days without pay and had to work. I think a lot of weird stuff is going on because there was a delay and a shortage at work. They are backed up I think. I had to call about my offset and requested an advocate, when the rep checked my account she said they haven’t processed it yet this was on 2/12 I filed on 2/5 and the irs did not input on the system til 2/7. I called again and asked for transcripts they still did not process my return and it was 2/14. Rep told me the irs would start to touch those returns on 2/15 if they did not have another shut down which they did not . Idk who is telling the truth or lying at IRS but I kno a lot of weird stuff is going on like U said this year

At least with the pattern of previous years we had an idea of how things would play out. Idk about y’all, but I get taxmas anxiety bad lol and idk why 🤷🏽‍♀️
