So I filed 02/03/21. I got accepted 02/12/21. Lost bars on the 26th I think. Still never returned. I’m a PATHER as well plus my college school credit. I saw a letter in my informed delivery Tuesday from Kansas. Also I can’t view my transcript. It won’t verify none of my info. When I called today, very nice lady listened to all of which I mentioned about and put me on hold look at my account. She came back and said that I was still just processing but I was not being audited, I had no type of holds, no flags. When I asked her about the letter she said she didn’t see anything on her end so she didn’t think I should worry. Basically nothing to HAULT the tax return. She also said that the system would update tonight and to just see what it does. Has anyone else been told something similar today or in a situation similar to mines?

I try to cut them slack bc I know they have millions of returns to process, and computers make more mistakes than humans at times, but ultimately, (at times) they make money off of us by holding the returns and giving interest. They make you pay the interest back if it’s over a certain amount.

(1/2) Lmao, they told everyone to file early and it gets thrown back at us for doing so. We had gotten a TA last year and she told us that if we ever run into a problem in the future to call the IRS twice, if they dont do some kind of movement on your return, get a TA asap. Regardless of anything other than an audit is not suppose to take more than 21 days to process.

They get away with so much bc we aren’t informed of our rights when it comes to tax time.

I called today the irs lady rep said my return was randomly pulled for taxpayer protection program and that i have to wait for a letter in the mail to verify my identity. Once i verify it can take 9 weeks to receive my refund… Ughhhhhhhh

I really think the people that filed early are just getting lost somehow. I filed 3/2 and got my federal refund today.. it is the fastest I have ever gotten it.

Girlmom: They are really backed up from so many people filing early because the third stimulus will be based off your 2019 or 2021 tax return.
As for your letter you saw on informed delivery, that is just a letter from the IRS telling you that they sent you a second stimulus.

@GIveMeMyMunah they should know by now that we know better than that 😂 But maybe that is the case this year because they are so behind they are working on all returns daily

@Over It the guy I talked to gave me the “Once a Day WMR will update” speech.

I was told similar. No issues with my return just very backlogged. I filed 2/6 and accepted 2/12. The guy I had pretty much told me they will get to it when they get to it. He said I could update today, tomorrow, next week, next month, it’s just hard to tell when.

I think many people were told the same as you, but many were also told other things. Did she specify whether it was transcripts or wmr that would update tonight? I’m wondering what system she was referring to.
