@Lucky_Smile There’s an entirely different forum called “State Refunds” that you should be able to discuss the state refunds for North Carolina :)

Sounds easy enough to work for the call center. Just rattle off some BS and then hang up. They can pay me for that!

I was told when i called today that they are delaying refunds for the regular child tax credit as well as the additional child tax credit. (which i know isnt true) they are only delaying for the additional child tax credit

Soooo…..my awful experience went like this…

Called IRS because my bars went missing for like 4 days. The lady said she couldn’t look me up but told me I had probably been chosen for a “random tax review”. So for 3 days I was pulling out my hair, because darn it, I need that money!
Then Saturday morning WMR changed to the Path message. I called the IRS back. I got a super nice man who looked up my social security number, told me my return had already been processed and I had not been pulled for a review. I did a happy dance.

Oh man I don’t know where to start lol but the one that I don’t get is the possibility of a “reprocess” doesn’t make sense. And she sounded so sure of the information she was giving me. Also bars disappearing doesn’t mean anything and I’m hoping out of all of what she said, that one is correct.

By the way @Kiki thank you, it’s good to compare notes, besides I’ve found out that these are customer service representatives, not irs agents.
