I’m not sure why the system that processes mortgages payments would impact tax refunds but if people want to cause themselves more stress….

Yeah they’re going to go in to people’s bank accounts who have received their refunds and remove the money until the issue is sorted out. If you havent got your refund it will be delayed until mid April.
