Anyone filed with taxslayer and chose the green dot card option? My federal date is 2/21 and my state is 2/20. I haven’t received anything yet. If you have this card let’s keep each other updated!

I have a Greendot card and use it for all of my “banking” needs due to poor banking history, oops!
Anyways in addition to getting my tax refunds on it, I also get both my husband’s and my payroll DD weekly on it and also monthly social security for my children due to their biological father dying.
Anyways for the past three (3) tax refunds, including this year the funds have shown up as on the account on the day that IRS states on WMR. They have NEVER come in early, regardless of what GreenDot advertises!
I will say though that my husband’s p/r ALWAYS comes in a day early, except if Monday is a bank holiday b/c he gets paid on Wednesday’s & they process the p/r on Monday’s. My p/r is processed on Wednesday’s to be paid on Friday’s and about 25% of the time the money is on the account late Wed afternoon, the rest of the time on Thursday’s.
Interestingly enough both our employer’s process p/r through ADP.
As for the monthly social security DD they are supposed to hit the bank on the 2nd Wed of the month, they are usually available the afternoon of the Friday before, twice they came in the Thursday before (that was nice) and twice they came in the day they were due (that was nerve-racking).
So it seems that some Green Dot DD do post early, but I have never received my tax DD early and I’ve never heard or read about anyone who has received there’s prior to the WMR date either.

I live in Florida so NO state taxes!

This is my first time using the taxslayer green dot card. I haven’t recieved my state or federal yet and i filed on 1/29. When i check the status both says it is being processed. I chose to have the fees taken out and the bank they go thru hasnt recieved anything.

I FINALLY got my state this morning about 330am!!!…which looks like my federal will come Thursday 2/21 just like my DDD says.

@Jennifer you’re not alone. Same cycle as you and processing date. I filed my friend’s 10 minutes after mine and she got a 2/22 date this past Sat. I still haven’t. Both PATH and both same credits. I got my deposit last year on the 22.

I called the card just now and it’s not even showing any pending deposits. Ughhhhh

I also chose the green dot card through tax slayer. Filed and accepted on 1/31. No updates yet

I use the Walmart Money Card (which is also from GreenDot) and I usually get my paycheck deposits one day early and that is only because my employee sends them out one day early and it usually hits my account at 530 AM eastern time. My state taxes (IN) hit my card on the day that it was scheduled to hit

I have a headache I swear from checking apps, calling the card # etc. I’m going to be so stressed if it doesn’t hit by 12am…I can tell I’m going go lose sleep if that happens. I did call taxslayer customer service and they apparently don’t have more info other then what’s on the website

I used TaxSlayer, greendot card option too. The only problem is I am in the 20190505 cycle that had my return accepted on 1/25 with a processing date of 2/18 and have seen no progress since PATH lifted. My return “is being processed.” Still. While everyone else has a DDD. :(

@jeff I do have the filing fees being taken out my refund. So that may delay it I’m guessing. But I will keep you posted.

It DID hit my account on the DDD by the way. I just was too tired to stay up and actually see it hit.

Last year I filed with TurboTax, fees taken out, and had it deposited onto a Greendot card. My DDD was 2/22 and I gave up at 3:30am that morning waiting for the refund to hit my account lol. The year before that I used a the same card but got my refund at 9pm on the 21st. A whole 3 hours before the DDD haha

@Kryssy i did mine through TT but i also got the greendot card. i havent heard of any greendot users getting there deposits yet. If you dont have to pay any fees out of your refund or you payed upfront then it doesnt matter who you did your taxes. It just matters what bank or prepaid card your using. keep me posted as i will you.
