What happens I don’t my tax refund is bigger than the daily direct deposit limit on my account?
Some prepaid cards have limits on how much can be deposited in a day, week or month. It’s to prevent money laundering. I know Serve has a $15,000/month limit for deposits.
Correction
I was kindly reminded by my insignificant other that my check was a little less than 10k and his was a little over 3k that year both deposited to same acct as it was a joint acct. So…i guess they do mail if too big idk
Yes I know I said insignificant.
I remember I used to get big refunds like that, my biggest one was 12k and it was deposited in my bank acct, I think i was with wells Fargo then. Now I just get anywhere from 6-8k still good, but I remember those days, that’s how I got my party rental side business started :)

Sounds like it depends on your bank, but I have never heard of a bank putting any restrictions on ACH transfers… only mobile deposits.
Well crap, now I am scared mine wont go through.
It is over 10K, but I have a DDD of 2/22
I have never heard this before, I think my refund the year we bought our house (when they were giving a huge credit for first time home buyers) was over 10K, but it may have been just under.
Does anyone have ironclad info on what happens if the refund is bigger than 10K?
Darrrrn omg 10k i wish lol
My card has a 15k limit. My return this year is a few dollars short of 8k
do u have a maximum daily direct deposit limit? or are u getting that confused with a maximum daily MOBILE deposit limit(like scanning checks on your phone or computer).
Never heard of a maximum daily direct deposit ACH limit… but i do know about limits on mobile deposits.
In any event I heard the IRS will send a check if it’s >$10k
LOL @ KIM, i had mine on a bluebird 2 year ago their limit it 10000 my return was almost 12k and i called them they said ok we will accept it since i gave them a heads up and it was there ad 1205 am on my ddd
It’ll reject it and send you a paper check, that happened to my brother a couple of years ago.
You can deposit the rest in my account
