Filed taxes 01/31/2020
3 dependents
Only ACTC
Didn’t use the EICSo I was just reviewing the Path act and it’s my understanding that the Path act was only in effect until 2019. That they are no longer holding refunds until February 15 if you filed with the EIC or ACTC. But it does state that the IRS will be holding your refund if you filed before the tax season opened until February 15 to make sure it’s not fraudulent. Is this actually the case now? So if we filed after January 27th even with the ACTC credit our refund will not be held now, because If its true and that’s the case then we will get our refund earlier? If anyone can verify this for me, that would be amazing
