Tax offset on your DDD

I’m wondering if majority of the people DDD on wmr show the Tax offset Program message? Tax Topic is 203 Even if you don’t owe anything. Such as myself. Called the automated (800) 304-3107 . To verify nothing owed
Then why show this message? Or is this the new standard

Option 1 told me there were no debts found, but out of curiosity, tried option 2 and it said i had an offset. This was for state taxes (which were actually paid off in November). so now trying to hunt that down to get refunded.

When i hit 2 it gives me an offset amount but doesn’t tell me why or like from who which is annoying. how do I find out who like you guys?

youll listen too the first prompt that says you wont own anything then hit 2 after the first time it speaks. it will then detail more info and it gave me my michigan taxes from last year which was offset. sad but is w/e

Yes. Selecting # 2 option told me I owed.

If you see that message it could be a tax debt which would not come up if you call the offset line however I’ve never seen where you get that topic and nothing is taken out I would start calling to see

I had the same code and when I first called to check on my offset debt it says I didn’t have any. I did some research and read that when you call after you put your SSN in to press 2 and it will tell you the amount and who is taking it. Mine unfortunately was because my husband got overpaid by the workforce commission.

I got the same message and when I called to verify it didn’t say we owed any debts.
