I just found out I have a tax offset. Does that affect my DDD ? Or would I still get the remainder of the money on the direct deposit date ?
Anyone else had the same issue before ?

I had one last year, and the DDD remained the same, got the remainder (after they took offset amount) that morning.

We had an offset last year and I don’t think it affected anything at all. We have the PATH Act nonsense going on, so we wouldn’t have received a refund until after the 15th. Everything is automated though, last year we filed 1/22, accepted 1/28 and had our refund in the bank on 2/27.

It depends on what the offset is. If you owe the state (Property taxes, etc.), then that will delay your state return. If you owe the IRS, Student Loans, anything federal then it can delay your federal. Call the tax offset line for your state or the IRS offset line for your federal. Speak with a live person and ask of there is anything that can be done. In most cases, a payment plan can be placed so that you can get your refund on time.
