I am setting with the PATH, however when I called at the beginning of Tax Season I had an offset for state. (I knew I had it). But checked today and it said that I had no offsets. I hope that means that it was already paid. Is that what it means?

The offset line is for NON tax debts. You have to call the irs

Well… my son’s father’s state refund was approved, but offset to the IRS… Called the automated offset #.. no offset… so I called the number the state gave to speak to someone from IRS… which we did… seems in 2011 he received too much a refund and owes the IRS over $3,000 … So with that being said, I would DEFINITELY talk to someone from the IRS department to ensure you really don’t have an offset because per the automated system, he didn’t. In reality, he did.
