I was an early filer. 1/15. Accepted 2/10. Transcripts said n/a until this morning where i noticed it had a 570 code (additional account action pending) on my transcript. Along with the amounts I should recieve as a refund, but no refund code. And of course the site is currently down. My questions are. Has anyone ever had this 570 code on their transcript and their refund still direct deposited as normal? Has anyone ever had the 570 and then it randomly updated with a ddd? And could the 570 actually be on there because i was an early filer? Any insight would help. Thank you.

I’ve had the 570 code on my transcript since March and it hasn’t updated or changed at all. What number can I call to speak to a live person?

I was accepted Feb 13. Got letter bout six weeks a go saying they adjusted my return. Look on transcripts got code 570 additional account action pending $0.00 and 961 just says notice issued same date $0.00 on 6-7-21
Does theis mean it’s reviewed after they adjusted it again? Or should i be waiting in a refund? -

Can someone please give me the number that y’all were able to reach someone at? Every time I call the number on my letter it just tells me that due to such high call volume that the call can’t be completed and it hangs up. Anything will help. Thank you.

@Still Waiting Do you have any updates? I am still stuck on code 570 no 971 . My “as of” changed to April 26th with a processing date of April 12th.

@towergod612-I hope not, that’s what the IRS lady had said and all I could think was now how long will it take then process it once I mail it back. I have dates on my transcript of 4/12 and 4/15 but I can’t believe you’re still waiting! I called the IRS yesterday just to see if the information I got was the same and she said I had to wait for the letter but that my refund still wasn’t finished! Filed Jan 22nd accepted feb 13. 😩

@still waiting I don’t believe you have to sign it and send it back.the notice that I received after having both 570 and 971 codes was a cp12. pretty much said they adjusted my refund due to the recovery rebate and I have an as of date of 03/22/21 I received the cp12 letter a couple days after the 22nd. It states that if you agree with the adjustment you don’t need to do anything you have to wait 4 to 6 weeks though. I filed in Jan was accepted Feb 9th . Still waiting

@StillWaiting Thank you for the reply. Yes, it does seem unnecessary. I may be in the same boat as you but not due to stimulus. I believe they changed my refund amount but have not received a letter yet. It is good you got if figured out though!

@JLB1270
They reduced my refund amount from part of the recovery rebate we claimed. I’m not sure why when we genuinely didn’t receive it but when I called Friday the lady said I had to wait for the letter in the mail and we both had to sign it and mail it back… just seems like a long process -

@stillwaiting Do you know what change it is?

Has anyone had the 570 and 971 and got their refund without having to wait for a letter from the IRS, sign it approving the change and then mail it back before they’ll release your refund? I have both those codes from a stimulus adjust and the lady I talked to said that’s what I’m waiting on now

Filed 1/11 accepted 2/11..id verified few weeks later and WMR changed from Still Being Processed to Being Processed. Lost bar and tax topic 152 on Feb 14th and they have not returned. Amount and filing status are still there. Transcripts finally updated yesterday but now have a code 570 at the bottom. No refund date. This is getting very frustrating.

Did you ever get clarification on this? I am in the exact same boat and can’t find any info anywhere as to what this means. I did have to ID verify

Well everyone, I finally got My Refund and third stimulus for my 2020 👶.Just posted to my bank today. I was accepted on 2/12/21. Past week I had 570 and 971 codes. Never received a letter. I was nervous about these codes. Basically the IRS had to adjust my refund balance. It decreased by $400, this is why my refund was froze for some time. This Morning I checked my transcript which showed 846🥳.. and account balance $0.00. Good luck everyone. See you next year!

@thicks You are 100% right about the 18 days. That has been exactly the case with mine. In fact, my as of changed to April 12..which is 18 days from today..including today. It has been the same each time it has changed, also. You seem to have a lot of knowledge about taxes. Do you know if the 570 code could be due to having to id verify 3 weeks ago? I have no 971.
-

I’m in the same boat. Transcripts finally updated today but now have the 570 code on bottom. Next to that is April 12th. I have no 971 but did have to id verify about three weeks ago. I am a 20211205. I did notice that the refund amount showing is different than what I filed . It is aboiut $120 less, so maybe that has something to do with it. I was accepted on Feb 11. Also, all but my last stimulus amount is showing.

Three weeks with 570 and no update today. This is BS.

Talked to irs today. They said the notice was because of the adjustment. They said I should get my refund the week of the 5th because my action pending has a date of 4-05. I’ve never heard of this before so maybe she was making it up lol

Mine has 570 because I file injured spouse. So they have to do other stuff to it. I usually still get my return about 3 weeks after as of date lapses. It is still on 3/8 with no movement.

I have 570 & 971 codes with a date of 3/29 next to it. I spoke with someone from IRS and they told me the codes are on my transcripts because I filed for the recovery rebate. I told them I received my 2nd stimulus in the mail after I filed my taxes. They said they will update my tax return, basically remove the recovery rebate and I should see a DD next week.
-

Has anyone with the 570 code STILL on their transcripts gotten their stimulus today? I a ton of people getting it but none were with codes on their transcripts.

Did anyone get an update with a processing date of 3/8/21 showing codes 570 & 971?

March 9, 2021 at 10:07 am #4467236Allywolf
I claimed the recovery rebate only to get a deposit days later for the stimulus. I filed in January and apparently the IRS told me they didnt even begin to look at my taxes until 2/15. I have a code 570 on my transcripts 0$ with a date of 3/22/2021. I am assuming after reading posts this is because of the stimulus claim but knowing I received it..
Anyone similar information? I cant get a hold of the IRS now that it has been of course past 21 days.

@Bama85
That’s my situation. I got code 570 today. I’m weekly so I’m praying for an 846 next Friday. I hate to have to wait 2 weeks -
March 5, 2021 at 6:48 am #4464874Bama85
If you claimed the recovery rebate credit as instructed by the IRS but later received a check in the mail you are going to have a 570 notice. That’s the situation I’m in. I talked to a rep yesterday (45 minute hold) and she told me it had been corrected. From what I’m seeing it’s delaying returns for about 2 weeks if your situation is like mine

The date next to your 570 is the next date that something will happen to your return. Whether it be moved through processing or flagged for additional review. You won’t see Any movement on your return until the 570 date elapses.
I haven’t seen anything that bears out this notion that any date on a transcript, outside of the DDD after TC 846, is some sort of tickle date. ALL of the processing and “As of” dates are about 18 days postdated — the 3rd Monday following.
I really don’t think these dates mean anything to the taxpayer/filer.

I HAD 570 o no my return since last Friday due to me claiming the recovery rebate in error. The IRS FIXED THE ERROR. Today my transcripts updated with code 571 and 845 with DDD for 3/3. That date next to the code is the latest date that that code could be updated. It could be resolved sooner as my 570 has 3/8 next to it but it was resolved today. Now if they don’t fix it by that date it will move out another 7 days .

570 could be a number of things, none of them good for you. More than likely, if you’re claiming credits (PATH) they’ve flagged your return for additional review. It’s part of the PATH fraud deterrent program.
I had a 570 last year. Got my refund in August.
570s are not good. You won’t be getting your refund any time soon, no matter what it is. Sadly, it’s such a vague code it could be many things.

Hey I have the same code just spoke with the IRS and the rep said they are just processing it and haven’t finished it doesn’t mean anything bad. Look the code up on this site https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-utl/transaction_codes_pocket_guide.pdf.

I called yesterday and talked to a very nice woman. She put me on hold a few times while she figured some stuff out and I’m assuming answered other calls as well since they are so short staffed. She said it was just a review and when I checked my transcripts today it was resolved and I have a DDD of 2/26. Well worth the 30 minutes on the phone.

I have the same code with the same date. It doesn’t mean anything don’t worry about it until you get a notice

Ive got one too. No wage transcript either. I’m going to spend quality time on the phone trying to reach a human if it hasn’t resolved by Monday.

Just checked my wage transcript and shows no record found. Anyone else seeing this wonder if my employer didn’t submit my w2
-
February 20, 2021 at 12:51 pm #4456750Rebecca
Did you ever find out what was up? I got the same code and the only thing that has changed really was my jobs and one dependent fell off because they filed their own taxes. I don’t know what’s going on and calling the irs won’t help at all. They tell you to wait til after the 21 days. My date beside the 570 code is 3-8-21. Let me know what happens with you.
-
February 20, 2021 at 3:31 am #4456336Geesh-Louise
I had that 570 code last year. They said I filed my taxes before my employer sent in their W2 info. Which was a lie. But anyway, then they said it was a 60 review. Long story short, I filed 1/27/20 and received my refund in June. That was MY experience.
-
February 20, 2021 at 12:10 am #4456289
@Jaybird, that “processing date” you see has nothing to do with when you’ll get your refund. It’s postdated by about 18 days.
You want to see codes 571 and 846.

Ya i got it to
File 2/5
Accepted 2/13 pather
Just wondering if anyone else got it this is my first year claiming my daughter she was born in 2020. Has a processing date of 3/8 so I hope by then at least. -

Gold was a typo meant hold
-
February 19, 2021 at 9:59 pm #4456218Cmcarpe82
The gold could literally be for any reason though not just the ones I listed they could just need to verify your dependants or literally anything could even work itself out
-
February 19, 2021 at 9:59 pm #4456216Cmcarpe82
I have it every year because I file injured spouse form with my taxes it will release when you get ann846 or 571 code thats if there isn’t a valid reason like student loans child support or whatever that can take it or if you haven’t filled out an injured spouse allocation which you can exile with your tax return if the debt doesn’t apply to you.
-
February 19, 2021 at 9:35 pm #4456224RoseGoldKiss
…but don’t let that freak you out because if I remember correctly, I think most get that code before any refund is issued. it has to be held until their release date aka ddd. So…. I’d hang tight, I know that’s hard to do
-
February 19, 2021 at 9:12 pm #4456212RoseGoldKiss
It’s a freeze code I’m reading
Google 570 on irs tax transcript.
