My refund was approved. Have 846 code on my transcripts with DDD 02-27. I checked my banck account and there is a pending deposit for my tax refund but is less than half of my return amount. I called the bank, they said that was the amount the IRS sent. Any ideas of the reason?

Can you tell us exactly what you’ve experienced on WMR? Such as bars disappearing or the wording changing to still processing from being processed…..etc?

Did the WMR have any tax codes below your DDD date information? Like a 203 or something like that? Does the “refund amount” on the side reflect what you thought you were getting?

Probably a miscalculation of your part if there are no offset codes. My friend Lester Adams from sparta tennessee was expecting a 5K refund and they screwed his info up and after the IRS corrected the information he only got like 2K. It sounds like you were possibly denied a particular credit or deduction.

Sounds as if you’ve had an offset for a past obligation such as child support, student loans, etc. I would call the IRS this morning.
