Stimulus Vs. Debt collectors

I read an article stating that debt collectors can actually take your stimulus this go around. The way the bill was made, it doesn’t stop them from collections off of this check. Those with student loans shouldn’t worry bc they halted everything until September. I’m not saying that everyone with debt will have theirs take , but more so if you have a garnishment with a judge’s signature, they have all rights to it.

Again, I read an article and will post it below, I do not know for 100% fact that the checks will be applied to these debt collectors.

  It’s stated as such. Im just seeing so many people with missing part of their stimulus, it could be due to that.
