Instead of checking, get your tax record, click on view your account. There should be a 2021 tab created if you have 3rd stimulus movement. It would have appeared today. Yesterday it only showed 2020 and prior years. Same log in information as your transcripts and you can Access transcripts from there. Also see notices and stuff.

FYI I got the same message that there was a high volume to check transcript. I just waited, like a virtual line, your phone will keep refreshing and it will let you sign in when it gets to your turn. I waited about 4 minutes and the login screen popped up for me and I signed in.

I have the 2021 tab now. My top two 2020 transcripts are still showing N/A, but the as of date on my 2019 transcript changed from 03/15/2021 to 03/29/2021. I am assuming the as of date change also has to do with the stimulus.

@2013taxpayer yea ours only says 2020 and previous years under account balance. We may not be in the first round this time. We were the first two, got deposits right away.

Our Transcripts still say 03/15. Been that way for 2 weeks now.

The tab they are talking about here isn’t in the transcript site. Go here: https://www.irs.gov/payments/view-your-tax-account
It will be under Account Balance.

@Jon do you still have the credit cards on your credit? If so, use that to make an account. Not even just the credit card, but any account with an account number will work. I used my husbands snap on account under the “auto loan” option.

Currently can’t get to my transcripts. Due to high demand it may take longer than usual to access this site. And that’s it with a link to go back to IRS.gov, EVERYONES jamming the site to check their stuff!!

Mine shows the 2021 tab under the Account Balance. I also checked my acct transcript and my as of date moved from 3/8 to 3/15.

thanks for explaining it and showing. I went to the tax account(not tax transcripts) and saw the tab. I also noticed on my account tax transcript the new as of date is 03/29/2021 which means they touched it yesterday. I am still on N/A for return transcripts

My oldest son joined the Army in mid 2020 so when I filed I didn’t claim him for 2020, but I did in 2019. Since my return hasn’t processed yet, I’ll see if I’m paid for him or not as an adult dependent.

When you say account how did you create that? Is it the same thing as checking your transcripts online? If so there is there a way to create one without a credit card or loan. I finally got all of mine paid off about 3 years ago. I’ve been trying to avoid falling in that hole again.

I’m stuck in limbo with 2020 taxes – it still says no return filed, but I noticed the 2021 tab this morning.

Every single year I try to view my account. It ALWAYS says “information does not match our records”. So fucking over it. ALL of my info matches to the letter. It’s just meant to drive a person nuts.

Also, my “As of” date changed. I have no movement on my transcripts, except my as of changed from the 1st to the 29th. They are usually two weeks off the deposit.

I see this under “Account Balance.” Under “Tax Record,” I don’t even have 2020 yet. Under account balance, I see 19, 20, & 21. I’m hoping for good luck with this one!

Go to the main page where it shows 8 tabs. Covid relief, WMR, etc. you will see view your account on the left and tax Record on right. Use same log in and view your account. There you can see irs notices, go to transcripts and see previous years information or even stimulus info. If you can see a 2021 tab added, your stimulus is being added.
