Stimulus eligibility

Did anyone get a message when going to the irs portal this morning saying couldn’t verify eligibility for the stimulus check ?

According to this I didn’t receive mine because my return is still processing and will be available when my return is processed.

Oh and should have added filed both 2018 and 2019. Got my refund for 2019 on Feb 10th DD to my gobank card.

I got the same message and I’m 100000% sure I’m eligible. Married filed separate, income under 20k. No one else can claim me etc.

Research shows a good bit of people are also getting the same message as I am.

Yeah I was able to idv in middle of March, thankfully before the lines were shut down, my status changed from still to is being around March 25ish… So maybe I’ll be the one to wait out the whole 8 weeks and receive them both then?? 🤷

Fmhelton, are you needing to ID verify? I’ve seen 2019 filers who are on 570 holds get their economic impact payment, but their returns have begun processing. If the IRS asks a filer to IDV, their return apparently doesn’t begin processing until they do so successfully.

It don’t make sense to me, I thought maybe mine had to do with my taxes not being processed yet..

My stepdad just told me he got his . He hasn’t filed this year but filed 2018 .

Only a 2018 file . Didn’t get a chance to file this year . I owe back taxes but that’s not going to affect it in anyway . I have friends in same boat who got there’s and they have announced that it wouldn’t affect you getting stimulus

My sis in law filed 2018 but havs not done their 2019 ones yet and she is getting the same message.

I’ve been trying to figure it out, I’ve called a few different people and they keep telling me to call irs, Im Sure they know good and well that their phone lines are down. I honestly have no idea who to contact. Did you file 2019 or 2018? If so have you received your return? I filed 2019 and my status says is processing and I didn’t file in 2018.

Yep same message for me. I’m a non filed though that used the Turbo Tax tool that came out a few days before the IRS non filed tool. I wish I had waited to use the IRS one because TT just filled a no income 1040EZ. I hope more guidance is forthcoming about this because the help page that the system links to is unhelpful in this matter.

yupp. ddd of the 2th, tax offset 203 link. got taxes today tho. was approved the 29th last month. no stimulus. same thing when I use the tool. did my dads taxes few days after doing mine, he got his taxes few days before me, and got his stimulus today.
