Stimulus DD TRADITIONAL BANK

I think a thread for those who use traditional banks would be helpful. I use Bank of America. I have seen no stimulus yet.

If you use prepaid debit cards (Netspend, Greed Dot, Serve, Rushcard, Cash App, Chime, etc) please DO NOT post here. I wanted to create this thread for people who use actual banks. It gets overwhelming to find info because those of us that use traditional banks are the minority.

Mine is showing up as pending in my PNC account but when I tried to make a purchase it declined it. But I read an article that says they have to release it to us on the 17th by 9 am. Anyone else have an issue with it being in their account as pending bu not able to use it?

I have a stimmy dd for today but I have not received it yet. We use a credit union. We got our refund like a month ago to the same account. It didn’t hit until later in the day on DDD so I am hoping this stimmy will hit soon. We are a family of 6 so hopefully it will also be the full amount.

Some people have said the irs will send you the remaining owed automatically once they process the 2020 return and see that they owe for another person. However others have said you have to wait and claim it on your taxes next year. So not sure what the correct answer is but wanted to share what I’ve read from others regarding the same issue.

On my 2019 taxes I had claimed my 2 adult son and my 2 younger sons … This year taxes I claimed my 2 younger sons and only my 18 year old for eitc … So when I got my stimulus I was only thinking it was going to be 4200 for 3 people but sense that don’t got my 2020 taxes done yet they gave me 7000 for me and my 4 boys plus my other sons filed taxes and they got 1400 as well… What do I need to do with the extra money …

That amount is exactly half of your total payment ( 4,200 for 3 people). I don’t know the reasoning, but I’ve seen a ton of people on here state that they received half of their stimulus amount and they are still waiting on the other half to come. Alot of these people were in the same situation as you.. Married and the other spouse’s stimulus payment is still waiting to be sent

Huntington Bank here, 3rd stimulus deposited about 3am EST BUT im super confused about the amount received. Married, filed jointly and in both 2019 and 2020 we claimed my adult son both years and would not have been over the income guidelines. Husband GMP says eligible but no payment date yet, my GMP says today’s deposit date. My deposit was for $2100, which makes ZERO sense. Even if we had gotten mine and my sons it should’ve been $2800..any ideas?

As for the stimulus tool just says I’m.eligible and will receive a date when available and lists my account number as where it will be deposited.

Chase and nothing yet. Tomorrow is the D-DAY. People are pissed about them and BoA holding funds. Banks like credit unions and Chime …whatever gives the people advance by releasing funds earlier and Chase and BoA couldn’t when they get bailouts by the government. Especially Chase, when a while back they had the audacity to apply for the PPP loans at the beginning of the Pandemic and was forced to give it all back. POS.

Well I know for Capital One, they process them on the effective date and that’s 3/17. Although I can always hope they make the funds available when they receive notification of the pending deposit by the IRS. But I’m not holding my breath.

Who knows, maybe traditional banks will catch on that they’re losing customers because of that perk with the prepaid debit banks.

I bank with Regions so I’ve been expecting to see mine Wednesday, but when I checked the payment tracker it says:

“You are eligible for the payment. Once we have your payment date, we will update this page.

I use BoA, and have had used the same account ever since direct deposits from the IRS have existed. Every single deposit has always been on exactly the date they said, never early, never late, usually within the wee hours of the morning.
