Update: recieved my stimulus today in DD
back story: had a change of address so I called the irs april 14 and they said post office sent it back april 13. then april 18 check my GMP they ask for my DD info. But didn’t put it in till april 19 and boom 4 days later Stimmy came .Praying you guys get it soon

@YRE did it take 4 days after you put your DD info in for them to deposit your money? I put my info in on the 19th but of course I checked today and it said we will let you know when your payment date will be
Anyone that’s still waiting on a check mines was sent back to the irs because the post office couldn’t deliver it
I suggest you call the irs and tell them a b.s story that you moved and then you can get better answers -

Mail date 3/26, letter and check show up on ID on Monday, still no check. I have gone to USPS several times and They claim that “mail is going out”. No one is helpful, or know WTF is going on. The IRS sent the check so its on USPS at this point. I will be there everyday until they find it.

IRS assistors cannot initiate a payment trace unless it has been:
5 days since the deposit date and the bank says it hasn’t received the payment
4 weeks since the payment was mailed by check to a standard address
6 weeks since the payment was mailed, and you have a forwarding address on file with the local post office
9 weeks since the payment was mailed, and you have a foreign address -
Mine came Monday here in North Western Ohio.
If you haven’t received your check or card yet, I hope it comes soon. I’ve received all 3 checks on a Monday.

@everyone Early filer like everyone else. You mine as well say everything disappeared on March 6th. Been like forever. Sometime today I received an email from Turbotax stating I better have their money by April 30th. Or they are going to debit my account. Opt to pay through my federal tax return. In the email said we know about delays but I got until the end of the month to pay them their money. Moral of the story is IRS, Turbotax want their money. Email sent at 2:54am on Thursday

GA PEOPLE with mail date of 3/26… if your sorting facility is Atlanta, they are the hold up. We have nothing but problems with them. Mine showed up on my informed delivery on Monday and still no check. Our local post office said Atlanta sent mail to the wrong post office AGAIN. This is a regular occurrence with the ATL sorting center.

When people say they got their check or card (which by the way they didn’t even verify which it was) in the mail on a SUNDAY is when I know they’re lying, not sure why people do it but they do, people come here for truthful help not BS. Nashville here too. My informed delivery has had zeroes for 6 days now. I haven’t even received any junk mailed since last Monday. It’s SO DEPRESSING seeing those zeroes every damn day. Noone needs to start a trace until a last resort. Traces are.90 days like mine with the 2nd stimulus. I’m telling u anyone mailed March 26 will have it in the days to come. Gotta be patient. Most people who need it now will need it in the next few days too

Hi everyone WA state here, ID showing my CARD instead of a paper check this time (as well as the letter they send with additional info, usually after they send the payment so odd) I’ve had USPS ID for years now so mine is always spot on, it was definitely off when I first signed up for it so I think it takes a bit for you to be sequenced into taking pics of all your mail everyday if that makes sense. Hang in there everyone!

You don’t need to check your mailbox 4 times a day. Just use Informed Delivery and check it at 8 am once in the morning. And if you think God cares about your stimulus check, I have news for you.

Does informed delivery show all mail?
It will show all of the letter size pieces that were automatically photographed by equipment that sorts mail by route and by delivery sequence. Often you will receive additional mail that was manually sorted to your address well after the automated process was completed. -

So as we are all obsessing about this check, I got out the calendar and counted and our mail date was the 26th, if we count the 26th it has been only six days today. I am betting a lot of us have this check by Saturday the 3rd. I get mail from Michigan to West Virginia a lot an it takes 5-7 days, and sometimes even 10!!! Monday the 5th is actually 7 mailing days if we do not count the 26th (the day it went out).

Another day, another nothing from the treasury coming today, per the ID. Just more junk mail.
For some reason, they wouldn’t give us Direct Deposit this time (and I don’t buy their excuse about too many deposits…we’ve not had any more than your average taxpayer). But they didn’t hesitate to automatically withdraw what we owed them, on Monday.
I would cry if I weren’t so angry.

Live just south of Cincinnati last 2 checks took about 5 days. It is a bit ridiculous to think they are to help us in this still crazy economy, rents due here as well as bills hoping it comes soon!

Just got off the phone with the IRS and the lady stated that most checks that were dated out March 26th 2021 will be to you by April 5th says its a glitch in the system so give it to April 5 hopefully its good news but she most def said if it says March 26th it will be to you by April 5th 2021

Why i.d would put 123 any street for security reasons when if your i.d does get hacked or w.e the person could easily look at the other mail to find the adress… so that anywhere any street thing is weird and really has.no security purpose if anyone does find that on someone’s usps informed delivery

So it’s 1:00 AM Thursday morning here in Knoxville TN. I didn’t even get any mail yesterday, even though ID showed four pieces of mail. Three were junk and one had no image, which makes me super curious. I broke my back Tuesday morning and just had to miss the past two days of work. I’m 27, live on my own, have no known relatives, and barely survive paycheck to paycheck. I’m praying this stimulus comes by Friday so I can get my car payment caught up before they take it.

So Im stuck in the “wait 10 weeks” hell for my refund…But what about my stimulus??? Since my 2020 is “still processing” and is stuck in the errors will they use my 2019 tax return??? I have tried calling the stimulus dept of the IRS but never get through and the GMP website is never correct!!! Informed delivery showed my treasury checks yesterday however I did not get them. Went to post office yesterday afternoon and they checked the truck and they weren’t there. Came in again this morning and they still don’t see them……so basically informed delivery is useless when you need it…..

Nothing here in CA. Hoping by the end of the week but I have seen people say it can take a couple of weeks which would be ridiculous. In terms of why some folks are now getting a paper check my understanding is that if you owed money the last time you filed your taxes you get a paper check. But I am not sure why they didn’t give an option to put in direct deposit information like they did or the first stimulus.

NADA here in Florida again. Regular first class mail should only take 1-3 days to receive. If it was mailed Friday 3/26, I’m not too sure if Saturdays count as the 1-3 day time frame ( some articles I’ve read state it’s only business days, weekdays) so I’m hoping this is the case as to why we all haven’t received ours yet, which should mean we should receive tomorrow or Thursday the latest.

If it doesn’t arrive by Wednesday, I’m giving up. The IRS does not hesitate to take money from you that you owe, but take 1 million years to send money you are to receive. People need this money and they drag their feet. Plus if my second stimulus was mailed, why send it to the closed bank account again? The account is closed; just mail the check like last time.

I literally burst into tears right now when I the piece of mail we were supposed to get from the IRS (as shown on our Informed Delivery) turned out to be a letter about the 2nd (!!) Stimulus, which we got in January. I mean, why did they feel the need to send that out now, when we are waiting for the 3rd? Horrible.

Is it me, or did anyone else notice the mail man does not come by every day, I literally watched an there are 10 or so mail boxes here across the street, and she did not come Saturday, and she has not been here today, it’s a little off putting as two of these boxes may or may not belong to elderly people and one has had their Flag up to send out a Birthday card to their grandchild. Why do they get paid so much an get so many days off if they do not even do their job!!!!!

Ours said dd 17th. Now says mailed 29th. So won’t see it for 3 weeks. Found out irs has a law that won’t allow them to send more then 3 checks into the same account. So thats why most of us that were expecting dd, didn’t get cuz we got our 2019 taxes and two stimulus checks already. The IRS should have fixed that. This is a special circumstance. We needed that money terribly. Now won’t have for a month. Great job guys!

This is true….. was told last week by IRS Rep that there was an error in my refund… I’ve had 3 transaction DD to my bank under my SSN already… I’m in line for a manual refund!

For those asking about why they even sent a check instead of DD like you have been getting.. there was a post about that a week or so ago with a link to the IRS website explaining that they have a limit to the maximum number of deposits they can make to the same account in a year and if you’ve gotten all the other stimulus checks DD to the same account you probably have reached this stupid limit so they have to send a check instead. Stupidest rule ever but that’s what the site said.

Updating from earlier… was my check in paper form it was wierd and I almost thought it was jist a letter on my usps app as it saod from treasury but to a valid citizen 123 street anywhere us. Very wierd but happy it wasn’t just a letter. Also did not recieve a letter with it as it said I was getting one. Hope this helps anyone waiting!! Not much longer!!

I live in Queens, NY… and I got the ID notification that there was something from the treasury in the mail today. I also had the first 2 and all my refunds DD to the same account for 13 years.
My mail doesn’t deliver until the evening… this is gonna be a long day. 😪 And a disappointing one if it’s that letter. 😕🤦♀️

Stat changed after about 2 weeks from waiting for DD date to become available w/ my correct bank Acct # to:

Mine also said it was being mailed out today 3/26 and I haven’t received it. Last time it took a little over 3 weeks to get here. Although with the first round only checks back in October of 2020 I received my check the day BEFORE it was scheduled to be mailed out so ya know….. it all seems to be pretty random.

When it says it’s “scheduled to be mailed on March 26th” that doesn’t mean it arrives to you on the 26th. That means it’s scheduled to be mailed out on the 26th. So it’ll take a few days, up to a week to get.

Sign up at the usps app and it will show you first thing in the morning when it’s loaded all the mail/packages going to your address that day and if it says a letter is their ajd didn’t recieve it your able to check a box saying didn’t recieve. All I can say is the 2nd was dated 1/6 and I got it on that day bit this time today’s the day and no check yet. -

@mail date 26th I guess they are doing it differently than the recent 2nd round. So if they first batch of checks went out the following Monday 15th and people have gotten them by 24th then that’s better than 2+ weeks. I think we have some people who are messing with this forum. I’m not buying that anyone who had a get my payment “will be mailed March 26th” has actually gotten their check in the mail this week and it was just post dated for the 26th. It seems like they “sent” out a batch of checks and eip cards this week and used the 26th as a last day they could be sent (not when you should get it by). It would be nice if sent = mailed (3-5 days) but it was 2+ weeks last time.

I got my first two stimulus DD, but only recieved for myself because I did not claim my two kids on my 2019 taxes. I filed my 2020 taxes early Jan, claimed both kids and recieved my refund including what was owed from the first two stimulus for my kids on Feb 17th. Now the GMP says will be mailed on 3/26. Did they use my 2019 or 2020 taxes? Why wasnt it DD where my refund went to? Will I get for my kids this check?

Its said that people on ssi will recieve their deposit later than the rest. My fiance is not on ssi or ssd and still has not recieved his and h and r block jist said that his eill come at a diff wave of dds. Hope this helps

People who are on ssi or ssd im hearing are not getting their direct deposit until towards the end round of deposits for some reason. Before they got them at the same time but this 3rd they separated everyone into diff catagories. -
I got it Feb 1st (was dated for Feb 2nd) and it had gotten rejected January 2nd(you’re able to log into closed cashapp accounts and see the rejected deposits and past transactions) and I was FREAKING out then my GMP updated a few weeks later and everything was fine.

Bigpapo what you’re saying is WRONG because I’ve already dealt with this first hand, last stimulus they sent to a closed cashapp account, I sure as heck didn’t have to wait 4 weeks then 90 days and whatever the heck your message said. I had it early February, so it honestly only took about 4 weeks for it ALL to get figured out and sent to my mailbox. As in I had it in my wallet before the 4 week mark.

The first check my husband and I got one check together in the mailbox even though we are on Social Security and we thought it went direct deposit the second time I got my check in the mail my husband never got one at all I had to file income tax even though we are retired and don’t require to file income tax it was the only way my husband could get his stimulus check but this

Anyone that has received their stimulus check dated for march 26th are able to deposit it into your financial institution at least ONE DAY IN ADVANCE. I work for a financial institution in Michigan and by Law we are allowed to accept stimulus, SSI, SSDI, etc (government issued checks) ONE DAY in advance. I hope this help some of you that have received your checks early.

My Mother is on Social Security. Because of this she doesn’t need to do her taxes and hasn’t since being on S.S. Her 1st and 2nd Stimulus were direct deposited into her account. From an article that I read just a day ago or so said that payments mailed after March 23rd are going to be in the Forum of a EIP card most likely and not a check. Not saying that just because yours is mailed after the 23rd you’re getting a d i p but the source said that is at least a 70% chance of an EIP card and not a check.

if u messed up your dd info u will have to wait 4 weeks then have them to a trace which takes up to 90 days as I’m still waiting for stimulus 2. I called aweek before the 3rd was approved and made them take my old acct info and delete it and made them make notes saying to mail anything to my address. Now it’s saying on gmp site stimulus scheduled to be mailed March 26.

It’s because we made less than 150k in 2019 and between 150-160k in 2020. Since we filed in Feb they used out 2020 income. If we would have waited we would have gotten 5600 instead of 1900 partial payment.
Not complaining too much but doesn’t seem like a good way to do that. People who didn’t file w same exact income get the entire payment and will never have to pay it back regardless of their 2020 income.

@Rayne, I checked with USPS and they said stimulus check will forward to the new address.As long as USPS says anything noted in the cover “DO NOT FORWARD”, they will send all it seems.
I filed tax returns with new address on 2020 yesterday and it was showing received in the IRS site. So when they start sending the stimulus cheque on 3/26, will the new address be on the file or will they send to my old address?

Because yes everyone has that, you’re getting your payment, you have the date, and they will mail you a letter within 10 days of them sending the payment with more info on it and why you received what you received and what not.

Checked today and the mail out date is 3/26. My first one was direct deposit. My second one was a check, and I suppose it’s because we owed. That check had a mail date of 1/6 and we didn’t get it until the end of January. This last check should come sometime mid to late April.

The GMP tool told me I would receive 3rd stimulus March 17th, 2021 to an account number I don’t recognize. It just updated today to say
“Payment Status
We scheduled your payment to be mailed on March 26, 2021 to the address we have on file for you.
We will mail you a letter with additional information on this payment.” -
If it says status not available you more than likely typed in the wrong info somewhere in the submit form. Try it again slowly and see if it fixes the issue.

I think the reason the 2nd Stimulus came so late is because that’s when the Capitol was invaded and that threw everything off because once that was settled all checks came in mail I have seen where some are seeing their informed delivery and looks like checks are in the mail w mail date 3/26 which we all have

My first one was a direct deposit. Nothing changed and my second one was a check. I would not worry if you went from direct deposit to check. I just stinks that it takes longer that way. My third one is also to be a check according to the GMP. March 26.

Mine updated to this as well. Odd thing is that for a week prior to that it said ‘ I was eligible for a payment and was going to be direct deposited into account XXXX’ The account listed is my new account I had only used on 2020 tax return. So weird that they went from DD to a paper check for me.

The WMP tool has never told me if my payment was coming as a check or a card. It states “your payment” is scheduled to be mailed on 3/26.
Husband already got his direct deposit and his also said “your payment” is scheduled to be deposited on 3/17.

There’s no point to check periodically throughout the day, it only updates once a day over night so it won’t change during the day js.

2nd stim said mail date Feb 6 I got it like Feb 26. First stim was like mail date March 16 and I got it March 18. Praying they fixed there sloppy slow shipping issues and this check comes in like 2 to days .

Mine went from saying I was eligible for payment and would be direct deposited had correct numbers of my account and when a payment date was available it would update the page but then a few days later it says payment scheduled to be mailed on 3/26.. WTF?? I’m so mad.

Mine updated on 3/20 to my payment being mailed on 3/26. Last two times I also received a check (non filer) and the first two only took a few days to arrive, so I’m hoping this is the case with the 3rd.
My husband got is payment deposited on 3/17 DD

TOO MANY VARIABLES… are you getting a ‘CHECK?’ or are you getting a ‘PAYMENT?’ I am, for some reason getting a ‘PAYMENT’ and a letter which will go out of 03-26-2021.
EXACT IRS VERBIAGE (BS FROM JB):
“Payment Status
We scheduled your payment to be mailed on March 26, 2021 to the address we have on file for you.We will mail you a letter with additional information on this payment.”

I have a mail date of 3/26. Good to have some date I guess but last time I waited over 3 weeks after the date for the check to hit the mail box .

I went from having a message of you are eligible and my dd information to a check will be mailed on 3/26. I’m so confused !! I got my tax refund dd on 3/17. Does anyone know why?

Also got 3/26 notice.
Had received 1st and 2nd through direct deposit.
The only reason I can think of as it being different is that I filed early and ended up likely eligible for only partial payment because of income level. If I would have waited to file it likely would have been full amount which seems completely unfair but that’s a whole other conversation

Not true. We had first stimulus 1 day before date and the second one we had 2 days after the mail date. Its truly different for everyone -
My 2nd stimulus was mailed. It had a mail date of Feb 2 and I actually received it February 1st.

After days of “Payment Status Not Available” and having not checked it yesterday, I checked today and it said “We scheduled your check to be mailed on March 26, 2021 …” However, anyone who had any experience having their second stimulus check mailed knows it took weeks after its scheduled date for it to be actually mailed out to recipients. Don’t bank on your third stimulus check being there until you have it in your hand.

Ours says we are eligible. I’ve already checked periodically throughout the day for updates and don’t want to risk being locked out for 24 hrs 😂
