Hi everyone,
I see most threads are being overwhelmed with posted about the stimulus money and pay cards. This thread is only for those of us with traditional bank accounts to update one another. I will go first. I bank with Regions and haven’t seen a dime yet. Honestly, I didn’t plan to this early on.

Heather I read on article about a week ago that some banks were having a hard time keeping up with deposits when there were so many I remm seeing Chase and PNC and Td and cpl others .on the last wave they had the issue they said it was gonna be fixed this time around. Keep checking your bank and check the portal to make sure it has not changed anything.

Capital One (360 to be exact) was scheduled for deposit on 4/22 and not there still. Of course the bank has no clue what’s going on. Spent most of Wednesday on phone with bank & didn’t hear anything helpful from anyone.

Today is the 21st and nothing.
Hopefully there will be a letter sent out explaining what’s happening, because there is no way to contact IRS regarding this payment -

Though payments for eligible individuals have been made through direct deposit to bank accounts on file with the IRS, Mnuchin said they were still processing paper checks and hoping those still waiting will instead go online to collect their payments.
“The reason why the checks have not gone out is we’re hoping that more people, as I said, will go to IRS.gov,” Mnuchin said. “It’s much safer to send out direct deposits.”
From the source!!!

Idk if this help anyone. But I figured out what was going on with mine. unfortunately anyone who did there taxes threw H&R Block or any other tax’s company and had an advance or had the fees taken out of there refund was part of the glitch. I had fees taken out of my refund so if you did this your check most likely went into the tax preparers temporary account. Unfortunately the irs hasn’t decided if they can release it. Most likely they’ll reroute it to the irs and will get checks.

Offset for injured spouse is possible. Tried posting it earlier but it didn’t post.
-
April 16, 2020 at 11:08 am #4412129brique19
I just learned that if you’re an injured spouse, the entire stimulus will be seized for support arrearage – and somehow you have to file an additional injured spouse form to receive your portion. For those that file IS, this might be the reason for no deposit.
Now, how to figure out how to file the IS form for a stimulus payment. Great.

I bank with Capital One, and have not received mine yet despite qualifying.
My mom banks with a very small local bank, and has recieved hers.
She made much more than I did last year so I’m not sure what’s going on with the ‘lower incomes get theirs first’ thing. I’m stressing out about it.

Glens Falls National…Mine posted today.
My poor Mother gets her SS on a Direct Express card, so she’ll probably be waiting for a few weeks for a paper check. I wish she could use my account for a direct deposit, but I know that it would be kicked back since the names wouldn’t match.
Why couldn’t they have just put it on the DE cards? It would have made it so much easier for so many people.

Checked my PNC Bank online just before 1 a.m. in Ohio and saw that the amount I was expecting is there as a deposit under “Pending Transactions” and reflected in my **available balance**.
Right when I thought it would be. Glory to God! Now, may The-Lord-Who-Heals bring full restoration of peace, health, and well-being to our nation and our world in a miraculous way, as only He can, in Jesus’s name. Amen.

I bank at Commerce Bank and our 2019 taxes are still processing, but we did get taxes back in 2018 and our bank shows nothing pending for tomorrow and we fit all the criteria. I don’t get it. I have had the same bank account for 17 years.

BoA and nothing yet but I have my hopes up for tomorrow (Tuesday 4/14). Deposits almost never appear in BoA on Saturdays, Sundays, or Mondays (yes there are rare exceptions but not for anything like this). I imagine that most “big” banks are gonna be the same.
Hope to see you all back here in a few hours with the happy news!

Woodforest nothing yet. But they usually post 1 day in advance so I’m thinking tomorrow if I’m in this batch
-
April 13, 2020 at 7:18 pm #4404020
Come to think of it, my bank has never told me over the years if there has been a pending deposit. I could always see pending charges through online banking myself.
I see both pending deposits and pending debits, but my AVAILABLE balance reflects them. However, “pending” seems to have a different meaning here. These transactions have posted but not cleared. If I go to the store today and spend everything except my last dime, even though the debit will be pending for a day or two, I can’t spend more than 10¢. When my ACH debits hit, they pend for a day, maybe two, but I have access to those funds right away.
If the IRS sent PNC Bank notice of a pending payment for me, I won’t get word of it until it posts, most likely in the wee hours of Wednesday, 4/15.

I believe they might go off of my 2018 return because my 2019 hasn’t been approved yet.
I think they’ll use your 2019 return.

My bank tends to hold large deposits for a few days so I’m not confident that I will see it on Wednesday. Also, I’m still stuck in processing on my 2019 return even though I filed on Jan. 29th. They have been holding it for review since then. Long story. Anyway, I believe they might go off of my 2018 return because my 2019 hasn’t been approved yet.

April 13, 2020 at 7:05 pm #4403990
Discover. Called and nothing is pending. Said that they don’t function like a brick and mortar bank. It won’t show as pending, it will just appear in my account. Hoping Wednesday.

PNC Bank. My thought is that it will come Wednesday (late Tuesday night, after midnight 4/15).
