Okay if you’re an idiot and in the same boat as I am and went to TurboTax H&R Block Jackson Hewitt or whoever to file your taxes well we have to jump through hoops to get our stimulus if we had it put it on an Emerald card or Serve card or whatever it may be? Or will they just go off of the adjustment we had to make for the first stimulus does anybody have any ideas? I would have called the people at TurboTax or Jackson Hewitt but their customer service……. I’d be better off asking my four year old

I was hoping they’d just use the one it went on last time, but the way this year is going they’ll use my bank account from my senior year of college which was….. A long time ago.

@Tiffany, then the IRS will use the routing & account numbers you put in your filing.

What if I went through H&R Block and use my own bank account? I didn’t use an emerald card.

During the 2nd stimulus, they just used the correct info from the first deposit.

So, if i had to guess, it’s going to once again be an issue for all of us who went with this option. Simply because, technically the IRS doesn’t even know our accounts even exist. According to our tax returns, our bank account would be whoever the deposited your return at. So, for TT, that would be SGBT.

Tbh i don’t know if anyone knows for sure yet. I know on the first one, i didn’t get it during the first wave of deposits strictly because of this issue. I had to log into the website they created to update my vank information. I then received it during the next wave of deposits.
