Does anybody know what it means when you update to “tax return is still being processed” and Tax Topic 152 gone? I see people saying it means ID Verify but I used a IP PIN?

@Kim
Yeah I’ve seen numerous people who were held up because TT did something wrong on their end. And for most who did get a DDD they were changed to Paper Checks being mailed instead of DD to their account. From what I know though the IRS has been made aware of it as of like 3 weeks ago but I didn’t see many people say it has fixed anything for those who filed through TT.

Is there anyone out there that was told they had a transmission problem thru turbo tax? I was accepted 1/30 no credits just deductions. Was told it would take 8 weeks to process. In NC and no state either. Anyone else?

I had that and FINALLY have transcripts available today.
Talked with Lady at IRS and my code means 45 day review but no letter sent. Suppose to start 3/30… can I put in for hardship so it gets done quicker? I’m so frustrated at this point.

Same here. Accepted 1/30 thru turbo tax. 2 weeks later still processing tt 152. Called irs said no issues. Waited over a week ago irs told me that there was an issue during transmission and it needed to be corrected and it could take up to 8 weeks to process. Called tax advocate to see if she told me same and she told me it was correcting itself and it was processing.

I have the same message, no tax topic. Same job, same kids, dang near same with holdings. And I used an IP pin also… No telling what’s going on. Oh and I can’t view my transcripts online because my phone is in husbands name. Craziness.

Mine are blank. ID Verify letter came 2/13, I did it online 2/14. The site indicated i was successful and to check WMR in 2-3 weeks. The only change on my transcripts is the as of date changed from 2/17 to 2/24 on 2/8, and my as of date changed from 2/24 to 3/2 today. Though it may have changed soon as I did not check anything over the weekend. I have no idea what as of date actually means.

Maybe someone can help with this…
E-filed 2/3/2020, accepted moments later.
WMR posted PATH, then changed to “being processed on 2/17/2020.
Checked transcript today:
Amount is for $8,593
But then below the amount there was -$8593
Form 8888 showing $0 on computer.
Does this mean the refund was sent?
There was a state offset, but state taxes took care of that with about $200 being refunded to me. -

Accepted 1/27
Transcript available 2/7 Cycle code 20200605
Bars disappeared 2/8Called IRS today – told to wait until 2/18 to call back because “anything can happen overnight” but then the nice gentleman offered to look into it further for me. Put me on hold for 5 minutes… didn’t come back with any useful information. I guess we just wait until 2/18 and see what happens!

Filed 01/17 with TaxSlayer
Accepted 01/27
1 Bar, TC 152I got a letter Saturday about having to submit form 8962 and a 1095-a. My husband and I do not have health insurance, and my two kids and our daughter are covered under GA Medicaid. My stepson lives with us, but has insurance through the marketplace that is paid for by his bio mom. She refused, adamantly, to give us the 1095-a. I faxed a letter and form 8962 (that shows we’re below the level for penalties, anyway) yesterday morning explaining the situation and gave the IRS her information to pull for the 1095-a. I spoke with the IRS and a TaxSlayer manager who suggested that the proper avenue would be the letter and form. TaxSlayer said that because he’s a minor dependent, and his premiums have been paid although not by us, our refund will not be adjusted.
I just checked the website and now I have NO bars and the “Still being processed” message. Does anyone have any insight into the situation, maybe, possibly???

went from 1 bar to still being processed.
Wonder what the issue is as everything is all the same as last.Filed 27th
Accepted 27thWent online to see if I could submit the ID verify but the website displays we not able to assist with ID verify online. I may call, but I saw someone in another forum say they called for the same and was told that the system may be overloaded and everything was fine with their taxes nothing further was needed.

@Ciara
Have you had any changes or a different address. I’m just trying to see what causes the I’d verify for some. -

1/31 – taxes efiled by my accountant
2/10 – online status bar disappeared code 152 and still in processing message shown
2/11- 2/13 – No updates or changes so… I get on here and read all the horror stories and begin to panic
2/14 – I call the IRS and speak with a live rep. She advised that there could be an issue with the website causing the status bars to disappear. Checked my status and advised that refund is set to be sent out on 2/20 that no further action is needed.NO ID check, NO audit, NO horror story. They are just backed up and things are taking longer than normal.

I am not an expert but I have been around here for several years :) Typically in years past moving from “being processed” to “still processing” means you will have to ID verify; you should be receiving a letter in the mail soon.
I have seen a lot of people say that setting up an ID Pin after verifying your ID helps prevent future verification (although nothing is guaranteed).

Speaking of typo, 20 years, not 30. I’m not that old.

@kei
You had no progress bar and no tax topic 152? I’m in that boat. I’m hoping id verify. Never had this before. I guess 1 outta 30 years isn’t bad. I’m hoping just a typo or something

@Kei thanks for the info! Question, do you use a IP Pin to file your taxes?

Yeah, I had the “still processing” message on wmr. I got a letter yesterday for id verify. Only have account and wage transcripts and they both have no info. I filed 1/27 accepted the same day. Just waiting now. Gonna give it a week before I call the IRS for any update.
