I would reach out to a tax advocate at this point. Does your WMS show any action or tt codes?

Mommajess,
I did call the IRS, there is nothing wrong with my return. However, I did not say this applied to everyone, but those with the “still being processed” message (without any codes or action needed messages) are those who had “being processed” as their status WHEN they hit 21 or more days since their return was accepted. -
February 21, 2019 at 5:38 pm #4291798sammy
I just hope they are being honest we have no codes or nothing to worry about just we’re early fliers waiting for our taxes to go out the next week or two

Amanda
That’s not why it says “still” I have been waiting well over 21 days and it had never said “still” not even at the moment, and I don’t have a DDD. If it says “still processing” y’all need to call the IRS and ask what’s wrong with your return so you can get it cleared up. -

Your status is going to change to still processing because it’s been more than 21 days since your return is accepted. If there is a hangup with your return, it is a coincidence. My return was accepted on 1/25 and my status changed to “still processing…” during overnight processing. It is likely that those who filed super early, mid-to-late January, are being processed AFTER those who submitted their returns after the shutdown or right around the time they started accepting returns which is why we’re seeing Feb PATHers get their refunds before us early filers.

Is it possible they aren’t being honest with us just trying to get us to stop calling ? I called Today because im over my 21 days filed/accepted 1/28 had a update with my processing message 2/16 nothing since & she took info looked it up and came back said she didn’t see anything but I’ve seen everyone pretty much say they told them the same thing ? How do we really know if we’re under review or waiting on a letter

@crys not necessarily, I just know for a fact that if you have TT 152 your refund is fine but I would check daily for other TT and check your mail to see if you get a letter if not then just be patient, it’s coming
-
February 21, 2019 at 2:59 pm #4291311Crys
Mine no longer has tax topic 152 is that bad?? It just says being processed w all my info on the side

“Still processing “ just means your 21 days have passed or your scheduled processing date is AFTER your 21 days ! Anybody who had “still processing” and had to ID verify etc is just an unfortunate COINCIDENCE ! I’ve also seen people who had “being processed” still have to ID verify or had errors, most of us should see an update Saturday morning as long as you have TT 152 BREATH🤗

Still processing usually means they are hung up on something…coukd be small like id verify or could be big like need more documentation or if daily it could be that they are getting it processes….Being processed usually means just waiting to updaye Master file..It always clogs up this time of year….deep breathes folks ;)
-
February 21, 2019 at 1:15 pm #4290974ray c
nothing still as of 5 minutes ago..no updates. Just processing. Guess I need to take out a small loan to survive. That’s where this is headed…many are in the same boat.

I just called the irs and they said my return won’t even be processed until the 28th. I feel like that was super generic being that they just saw I filed on the 7th and that would be the 21st day. However I can already see my transcripts completed just not 846 code.

Talked to its today,a very miserable woman.i was accepted on Jan. 29th and now for over a week getting the processing message. She said that refunds for people that have eitc claim will not happen until after the 27th of February for refunds.

Ok so now I’m worried 🤦🏾♀️
Filed 1/30
Accepted 1/30 (in like 10 min)
Wmr- one bar “ we have recieved your and it is being processed”The past 2 years I’ve never lost bars on wmr or received path msg but always got dd on 2/22 no matter how early or late I filed, can’t view transcripts online due to no cc or loans and when I try to order by mail the website don’t recognize my address checked wmr again and now I’m getting the “STILL being processed msg and my bars are gone “ I hope I don’t have to ID verify but I think so because my address has changed so much these past 3 years 😩
-
February 18, 2019 at 1:04 am #4277422Jen
Filed 1/26 accepted 1/28…no DDD and no update on WMR just says it’s being processed. No 846 code on transcripts but no bad codes either. I’m not sure what’s taking so long but I really think it’s just my cycle code and I think I’ll update next week…cycle code is 20190705 for me. Next year I WILL NOT file early because this waiting game has been driving me absolutely insane lol just to see that ppl that filed after me accepted and approved with a DDD already makes me question the IRS’ weird ass system

Hopefully it’s not much longer and possible update next Saturday for a 27th release. -

No updates I have a large refund too.
-
February 17, 2019 at 5:44 pm #4276821BroadStreetElite
Hence the “processing” vs “still processing”
Just a theory: I think “processing” means the computer is doing it
I think “still processing” means the computer did it, flagged it, gave it to a human to finish
-
February 17, 2019 at 5:42 pm #4276818BroadStreetElite
Yeah. Mine is 14K
I believe if it’s over a substantial amount, the computer probably pulls it and has human eyes review it.
There’s no way that actual people hand by hand review 300 million returns. Computer do most of the work and just flag stuff that looks “odd”
-
February 17, 2019 at 5:39 pm #4276812
@BroadStreetElite
Refund is 17k
By flag, so you mean it’s going to be manually reviewed? -
February 17, 2019 at 5:37 pm #4276807how in the hell am i processing and not ddd?!?
My return is exactly $30.00 more than last year but yes over 8K; same dependants for 11 years; address did change 2017 (but ised new address on 2017 return n had money on 16th no problem) and I always have at least 2 w2 however this year I had 3 2 from employers and 1 cause old job sent random check (for times their system didn’t calculate correct) and it held 3.26 in federal lol
I’m so damn confused at this point
-
February 17, 2019 at 5:36 pm #4276805
No movement at all. It just says still processing with the TT 1522. But my amount and filling status are still listed. No error codes.
-
February 17, 2019 at 5:32 pm #4276795Ava
Nope, i have a new baby born last may, maybe thats holding it up. But i honestly believe it’s all random as f.
-
February 17, 2019 at 5:31 pm #4276793John M
Our refund is large as well. But when we had to ID verify it was because my wives work had a breach in data. We had the same message.
This I got a being processed and not mad at the people who filed after me having DDD but there is no logic to there updating tendency’s
-
February 17, 2019 at 5:31 pm #4276788BroadStreetElite
JUST A THEORY;
If you claimed ACTC or EIC for the first time, you flagged the system
If you have a return over 8000-9000, you flagged the system
If you have an address change anytime in 2-3 years, you flagged the system
If you filed multiple W2s , you flagged the system
I’m hoping “still being processed” means they saw the amount or the credits and someone is just “reviewing” to make sure it’s right
-
February 17, 2019 at 5:27 pm #4276784
@BroadStreetElite
I’m having a significantly bigger return this year. I wonder if that’s what’s holding it up
-
February 17, 2019 at 5:20 pm #4276780BroadStreetElite
I’ve heard that. I had to ID verify a couple years ago. Since then, I’ve had all the tools to log in and verify info
I’m assuming I’m getting the “still processing” message because;
This is my first year claiming ACTC
This is my first year deducting mortgage interest
Address change in late 2017
Several W2’s
My refund is significantly large (not bragging), it’s just bigger than most “average” returns -
February 17, 2019 at 5:20 pm #4276779Abby
Filed 1/31 accepted 20 min later. Had one bar up til yesterday morning and now it’s saying we have received your tax return and it’s being processed. Guess we will see tonight.
-
February 17, 2019 at 5:19 pm #4276776King
I updated last night from the PATH message to “We have received your return and IT IS being processed “

The last time I had still being processed we had to ID verify. But that message has many meanings.
Most common is that it has been recycled to the next batch or needs to be examined by a person because the computer throw a review flag. Not an audit just a review by a person
Hope this helps.

I filled on 1/14 and was accepted on 1/16 and Friday updated to ” we have received your tax return and are processing it” but have not received a deposit day. It still says the same on WMR. I do claim EIC and CTC and I am on the west coast. I also am using a netspend card for my deposit.
-
February 17, 2019 at 5:07 pm #4276751BroadStreetElite
1/29 filed
1/30 accepted1 bar from 1/30 to 2/16
2/16 in the evening everything disappeared and I got the “your return is STILL being processed”
Transcripts for 2018 all say “no return filed” or “N/A”
Everyone keeps talking about the “next batch is 2/23”. We shall see. If I have nothing changed by Thursday, I’m calling. That’ll be over 21 days for me.
-
February 17, 2019 at 4:57 pm #4276739Jesslynn
Filed 1/15. Accepted but no movement since 1/16. No bars,, no path messages.. just the same blanket response screen of “we have received your info etc etc etc..”
-

Mine went to still processing on the 16th. I’ve read others who have had “still processing” have gotten their ddd
