Anyone else have the still processing on wmr?

I went back on the 2019 forums and lots of ppl had the still being processed message and some didnt get thier returns for months.i tried to see if I could atleast find a couple good stories of it working out ok for some but I didnt really see any. Great 2020 tax season alrdy

I have the STILL PROCESSING message. But no letter. I spoke to an IRS agent and was told pathers returns are being held up until this weekend but wont see the funds until about the 28th and to expect an update over the weekend.

I have to wait for the letter to come in order to ID verify. Called IRS this morning after mine was stuck on that over a week. No code just “still processing” message.

Sure is alot of ppl around that time who filed who have the still being processed. Not sure if that means anything

It doesn’t automatically mean you’re being ID verified. I used an IP pin for the last 3 years and this is the second time I’ve gotten still processing. The first time it stayed this way for a week. Please don’t allow the fear mongers add to your stress.

Exactly. Still means nothing. It’s all hype. Sure, it could, just like being processed could. It’s just the system ya’ll, chiiillllll

My sister also did not have the still processing and received a letter today.

I just wanted to point out that i have the your return is BEING Processed message…no still included and i received a letter today in the mail. Therefore, id go with assuming it doesnt matter wtf wmr says unless you have a ddd you are NOT IN THE CLEAR..im saying this to clarify for people based on being mislead by that information myself originally. I hope everyone else gets theirs in a timely fashion. No salt or shade my way ill just keep chain smoking cigarettes in between clients and wmr.

Some people have had “still processing” and have received a letter or notice. And some have had it and had no issues and WMR updated with a DDD for them. This happens EVERY year. I have been on this site for several years and seen this. You can go back to the last couple years forums and read what happened with others on here that had “still processing” and it’s the same thing… Some got a letter, some got a DDD.

So you have had the still being processed before? First time I’ve ever had it that I know of. I usually dont check wmr till around the 20th or so. It’s hard to find a true meaning of it because everyone says something different. However if it was a complete I’d verify or bad message it should be listed on the irs info section of meanings and codes of everything. But I dont see it anywhere

When did you file? Did you have any codes on your wmr or your transcripts?

I was a “still” processing. I got my ID verify letter today.

It’s just a system update, does it every year for me. Means I’m moving along. Its cause I’m a pather.

@taji no, that’s not the deal. It means the same thing, just still being processed lol that I’d verification is not true for the “still” people.

Sure is alot of ppl getting still being processed from 1/27 to 1/30. Not sure what it is

That is not necessarily the case. They may have been selected to ID Verify, however, the message in of itself does not mean that. What it means, simply , is that the IRS cannot guarantee you will receive your refund prior to your 21 days being up. If you still have tax topic 152 in your WMR message instead of a notice of something coming, and/or no codes in your Account Transcript, things are still fine….until you hear differently.

If it says “STILL” than that means there is a letter coming in the mail for you to verify. There is a difference in the wording.

“It is being processed” means it’s finalized and a DDD will come next.

“It is still processing” means you will need to verify your identity due to small error.

Mine switched to that now. We have received it and still being processed.
