It’s insane how some here are saying we did not get a ddd for us pathers.
I filed on 2/7/19 and the very next day I got 1 bar stating my return was received and being processed.
On 2/9/19 my bar left and got the path message until 2/17/19 it updated to refund approved with a ddd of 2/26/19.
People need to realize that not everyone is a liar. Because of your experience and results of how and when you were approved with a ddd does not mean everyone else will be getting the same status. Someone that calls someone else a liar just based on their history typically says a lot about their character. . -

Note that the IRS only updates tax return statuses once a day during the week, usually between midnight and 6 am. They do not update the status more than once a day, so checking throughout the day will not give you a different result.Jan 23, 2019

I live in Pennsylvania still didn’t get no state me and my wife are both pathers still haven’t received the direct deposit date no letter from the IRS which is good news we filed January 25th got accepted January 28th path message went away a few days ago and now it says refund is being processed. We also need money to get our car fixed the IRS says that the vast majority of us will have an update February 23rd which is this Saturday

I am a pather. Just waiting like everyone else. My close friend filed on 1/15 and is a pather also and Saturday got a DD 2/22. The 24 will be 21 days and I have never had to wait longer than 21 days. Refund month is always the hardest every year. My dryer broke last week and my gas is off. I will probably get my state before my federal. Hang in there everyone it’s coming the day after DD we won’t come back here till next year.lol -

@ Barry wyche
I was just talking to my wife about that a few days ago. We remember getting our refund before the PATH indicator even changed. Matter of fact,….religiously, we check our bank account first thing in the morning for any strange activity everyday. Last tax year, we remember waking up checking our bank account and having our refund in our bank account 4 days ahead of the DD date, on top of the IRS/Turbo Tax sites updating. I do think the same thing would of happened this year if the Shut down didn’t happen

Did anybody else read or experience this? I read many weekly account wont update on WMR until Saturday the 23rd however according to many people something happen last year but they got their money Before wmr and their transcripts updated. Many people think our money will be deposited by 2-22 even tho WMR wont update until Saturday for weekly filers.
-
February 18, 2019 at 10:10 am #4278053Val
Mine went from the message to saying Return received and being processed. But I know many people with PATH that got a refund date of 2/22 the very next day, and some of them filed after me. I hope its just a random selection and I am not being audited or something.
-
February 18, 2019 at 10:04 am #4278044RealEnword
I don’t benefit from lying on the 15th at midnight it. said it is being processed 8 pm that night it changed to refund approved maybe your getting audited but I can screenshot it what would I benefit from saying I got my direct deposit date that’s how stupid you are you can’t put a screenshot on here but you find a forum that I can I can show I had path message then when it said it is being processed then approved with direct deposit date

There’s a little over 20 million Americans who get earned income tax and other tax credits like us so don’t believe the few people on this website. the IRS website clearly states that it will only up date once per day usually after midnight and it says that the masked majority will update on February 23rd For Refund Date and it’s been like that since 2015
-
February 18, 2019 at 9:13 am #4277970sean

Hey I just wanted to say because I’ve seen it here in this thread more than once. You guys seem to not want to believe ppl got their ddd yet. I promise I have mine and I’m not trolling here.
I filed early on 2/22 both state and fed using TurboTax
Filed both EITC and ACTC
Fed accepted 2/22 state accepted 2/23
Moved to path message last weekend
Moved to your refund is being processed on fri I believe
Once path was off my transcripts read 846 and 2/22ddd
Next day WMR showed bars and ddd of 2/22
No progress on state refund whatsoever, I’m in PA, however previously PA is four weeks to the day for me so I expect it 2/22. Also 2/22 is my payday as well lolI’m sorry for all the trolls on here, it gets worse every year. But I think a whole wave of pathers are getting their dds this week.

The Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act (aka “PATH Act”) prevents the IRS from issuing early refunds on any tax return claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC) and/or Additional Child Tax Credit.
Because identity thieves frequently claim one or both of these refundable tax credits, this measure gives the IRS extra time to detect fraudulently-filed returns, which in turn helps identity theft victims get their legitimate refunds more quickly.
The IRS will begin issuing tax refunds on returns with the EIC or Additional Child Tax Credit on February 27, 2019.
If your return contains either of these credits, you can track its status at the IRS Where’s My Refund site starting on February 23.
-
February 18, 2019 at 8:47 am #4277936EddiePittsbuurgh
Where’s My Refund? on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go mobile app will be updated February 23 for the vast majority of early filers who claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. These taxpayers will not see a refund date on Where’s My Refund? or through their software packages until then. The IRS, tax preparers and tax software will not have additional information on refund dates, so Where’s My Refund? remains the best way to check the status of a refund. Where’s My Refund? is only updated once daily, usually overnight, so checking it more often will not produce new or different results.

I filed and was accepted 1/31 path message the next week I was worried cause I never got this message and I filed the same every year but Saturday morning on the 15th of February it said return is being processed later that day refund approved ddd 2/22 so have faith but I do know still being processed is bad and is being processed is good news still being processed means it has to be looked at cause it got flagged and stop telling people what to do with their money save and pay bills that’s what my job is for I’m taking this money and buying myself something that will make me smile you wouldn’t be on this forum like the rest of us if you was Monty burns so stop giving advice on how people should spend their money the fact that you use the money to pay off debt should be reason enough for you not to give advice how you gone take financial advice from a enword in debt lol people just live our best life and thank god for this forum for us impatient people

-
February 17, 2019 at 12:44 pm #4276338NoHorizon2001
U are hitting the nail on the head. Early filers risk being scrutinized because of tax fraud and identity theft. I filed on 2/11 and have been able to see my transcripts since Thursday. I’m also in the daily processing so it’s not unlikely to wait till mid Feb to file and get your refund the same as u would otherwise. I can prove everything I’ve posted on here by showing the day I filed with credit karma and the email they sent me saying I was accepted to my transcript to my wmr. My friend filed on the 1st of Feb and still is waiting for a DDD and he is a weekly. It just sucks how the irs does things but some people get processed b4 others so it’s just really all on the mercy of the irs
-
February 17, 2019 at 12:32 pm #4276313
It all depends on if they finished processing your return, and rather or not you are a weekly or daily.
Weeklies will process only once a week while daily’s will process every day. It’s different for everybody. The truth is this….. No “PATH” recipients were processed before February 14 this year (15 for previous years) no matter if you filed before opening day (January 28) or not. You were going to wait for your refund to be processed on or after the “PATH Act” ended before you saw any real movement on your progress. I know this because various members of my family work for the Government…..some within the IRS, and because I too walk(ed) the infamous “PATH”. Every year I filed on opening day, and had to walk the path, some would get processed Feb 15, 16, and 17….. I was always processed on the 16th until this year (The 17th). I’m a daily this year, (previous years I was a weekly). My refunds have either deposited on the 23 or 22 of Feb. it’s like clockwork.
The only ones who lie about the updates are the ones who claim(ed) that they got the refunds and claimed the EITC and or the ACTC (not to be confused with CTC), before the “PATH Act” ended on the 14th this year. For previous years, and for years to come….As long as the “PATH ACT” exists, we who walk the path will NEVER see our refunds before mid February. The IRS will never make exceptions to this law. Also, people get the words accepted and approved confused with one another on the WMR website. They think just because they filed early, and the IRS accepted the return, that they are getting their funds earlier than most. That’s not the case.
Another thing….. people who file early stand a greater chance of being pulled for review! Why is this? Because not all, but most people who intend to steal social security numbers want to beat the next person to the punch using someone else’s SSN so that they can steal their identities or earned tax refunds! The IRS knows this, so they will sometime randomly select people who file early and if they are caught, they are told to verify.
If you filed early and you haven’t received an update by Tuesday morning, call the 1040 hotline to see what’s going on. You may be getting a letter in the mail.
I hope this helps.

Also remember people are cruel they know that we are in need of our refunds so they lie and say they got direct deposit dates so don’t believe 70% of people on here. I’m sure some got direct deposit dates but me and my wife have received the path message since 2015 when it started and we always got a direct deposit date towards the end of February or very beginning of March since 2015 when the law was passed

Saturday wmr updated between midnight and 6 am. Then updated 9 pm to 12 am. That’s why so many people got Dd last night. And Sunday’s it updates from 12 am to 7 pm.
-
February 17, 2019 at 10:47 am #4276111KB
@josh I understand that but people on here are giving others misleading information and hope saying its updating until 7pm tonight when I read the WMR days dates and times it tells me that’s when it can be unavailable it says nothing about that’s when they will be processing and giving out updates so that’s why I was confused because it doesn’t give a specific time when it updates but from reading on here people was receiving updates all thru last night at different times so the information is very misleading

I was early filer. I filed 1/21, accepted 1/23, had bars 2 days later, then disappeared last week. Got Path message. Then that disappeared Friday night. Now it just says, “We have received your tax return and it is being processed.
Please Note:
For refund information, please continue to check here, or use our free mobile app, IRS2Go. Updates to refund status are made no more than once a day.”It’s just frustrating at this point especially early filers like myself with DDD Saturday and today.
Trying not to let it upset me :/
I’m glad everyone that has received their DDD. For the rest of us know that I’m with you.
Have a good week everyone.

I am just nervous that my transcripts still say no return filed and my return was accepted on 2/1. Don’t know if that means it got flagged from the get go or if it just has not been processed yet. I guess I will find out next Saturday because 21 days will be up and if WMR says still processing or gives me some kind of code.

I was accepted 1/16. I had Bars after it was accepted. On the 17th the bars went away and the Path Message was on my account since 1/18. Then two days ago it went to the “we are processing your return”. I woke up this morning 2/17 to the
“Your tax refund is scheduled to be sent to your bank by February 22, 2019”.
If your refund is not credited to your account by February 27, 2019, check with your bank to see if it has been received.
Hope this help relieve the stress

I filed Jan. 18th and got accepted Jan. 22. Bars left Feb. 1. Everyone who has filed and accepted after me is getting updates with ddd. Unable to check my transcript online because I don’t have my own phone line. I called IRS Friday and the guy said there is nothing wrong with my return and to call Tuesday if nothing happens. I have message “We have received your refund and it is being processed.” This is frustrating!!!!

@Michael Coleman
When was your return accepted? -
February 17, 2019 at 8:07 am #4275830Michael
@Ash
Last year the IRS said they would update WMR on the 17th and they stuck by that for most people. For some reason they moved that date up a week this year and said the 23rd. I guess due to the shutdown. Some people on here have gotten take action 1541 codes which sound like they may be under review. People are saying as long as WMR does not give you any take action codes and it just continues saying your being processed this far into filing then you are fine. We should see an update Saturday morning, maybe even before then. -
February 17, 2019 at 7:59 am #4275809Michael Coleman
Guys..GOOD NEWS. I got BARRRRS!
Your tax refund is scheduled to be sent to your bank by February 22, 2019.
If your refund is not credited to your account by February 27, 2019, check with your bank to see if it has been received.

So we’re going to see another update Friday?I’m not going to stress until March 4, although my gut tells me something is wrong. I would love an update preferably a DDD but I just want to know if I an error is on my return. Just the generic processing message. Do not have access to transcript because of c.c. issue. I say I’m not stressing, but I’ll tell you these forums make it worse for me. Good luck everyone
-
February 17, 2019 at 7:47 am #4275788Michael
Filed 2/1 with Turbo Tax
Accepted 30 minutes later on 2/1
WMR went straight to one bar and your return is being processed w/ TT 152
WMR has not moved one time everything is still the same, never saw path message.
Checked transcripts yesterday morning and they still say no return filed with a date of 2-25-19
I just think they IRS is behind and they did say that WMR would not be updated until 2/23 this year for the vast majority of early filers who claim ACTC and/or EITC.
Guessing we will update next week for good or bad. -
February 17, 2019 at 7:46 am #4275785Courtney S
I filed 2/2 accepted the same day, I’ve been stuck on 1 bar and the generic “we have received your return…..” been there ever since. I am a Pather as well, this is the FIRST year I never updated to the Path message. I will say in the past I have filed earlier and would normally get my refund around the 2/21 or 2/22. Since I filed a little later I’m hopeful, I’ll be apart of the next round.
However, I’m seeing quite a few people that filed after me, already update. Patience is a virtue, I’m gonna check again on Wednesday. Good Luck everyone.

It seems as though most people that got an update filed in January before the 28th. I do Know the update times for Sunday is 12 am to 7 pm. Meaning it will be updating all day today. I have a 2/25/19 date on my transcripts whatever that means.
-
February 17, 2019 at 7:12 am #4275732KB
@mary , everyone that has had that message had updated to a DDD and from what I have been reading and seeing the people who already have their DDD filed in early January. It’s a difference in the message and your message is fine if it says it is still processing that means you will have to ID verify it happened to me last year but it didn’t say processed it said processing so as long as yours isn’t saying still processing you are fine.

By the way , what are the days and the times wmr updates and if my cycle code ends in 05 when do I update
-
February 17, 2019 at 6:44 am #4275685KB
I filed 2/1 and was accepted 2/1. Last Saturday I updated to the PATH message and this Saturday I woke up to no bars just my refund amount no TT 152 saying they have received my return and it is being processed. I have been checking my transcripts I have a processing date of 2/25 and my cycle code end in 05. To be honest with you the one who filed after January or after January 28th I feel like we will see the next update and I think I only update weekly with my cycle code ending in 05 but I’m not sure either way everybody’s I have read that have their DDD filed in early January.

EVERYONE THATS SCARED IF YOUR PATH MESSAGE WENT AWAY ON SATURDAY MORNING UPDATE AND IT CHANGED FROM PATH MESSAGE TO WE HAVE RECEIVED YOUR RETURN AND ITS BEING PROCESSED, CHECK BACK FOR SUNDAY MORNING UPDATES YOU WILL HAVE A REFUND DATE LISTED, THIS HAS BEEN THIS WAY FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS, YOUR SCHEDULE DATE WILL BE BETWEEN TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY MORE THAN LIKELY WEDNESDAY, BUT IT IS 90% CERTAIN THAT A UPDATE WILL BE SHOWN SUNDAY MORNING SO NO WORRIES

@Mary I never had the path message despite being PATHer with EITC ACTC. Filed 1/26 Accepted 1/29, I had 1 bar and TT152 from Feb 2 until getting We have received your tax return and it is being processed today.
None of this is consistent enough for us to draw solid conclusions based on WMR info.

But why is just people who get earned income or the child tax act. I got my state back 2 weeks ago but I want my federal need it to get my truck legal so I can go to work. I hope next yr they do away with this crap I don’t like it.

Maybe I can help a few people with this post. I filed on 2/11/19 so last Monday and was accepted by the irs that night. I checked Tuesday morning and had 1 bar. Oh I do get the eic and child credit. My bars disappeared on Thurs morning so I ordered my transcripts online and was able to look on my account transcript and see my refund amount represented by a negative sign in front of my expected amount as well as the codes 150, 766, and 768 as well as 1 more code but not the 846 code which represents the refund being issued. Yesterday was the same thing. This morning I checked wmr and bars were still gone as well as the path act message which was there before. Then I looked at my transcripts again and I have the code 846 on there for the refund issuance. I just wanted to share with people that and to say that it is not bad to lose bars. Check and see if you can order your transcripts and find the 846 code on it or if your codes are different from the ones I have posted here. Good luck. My code 846 states my refund will be direct deposited into my account on 2/22/19

Taxpayers who claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit may experience a refund hold. According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue these refunds before mid-February. The IRS expects the earliest EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or debit cards starting February 27, 2019, if these taxpayers chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return.
Why is my refund being held?
If you claim the EITC or ACTC on your tax return, the IRS cannot issue your refund before mid-February. The law requires the IRS to hold the entire refund — even the portion not associated with the EITC or ACTC. Like previous years, some tax refunds may be held if there are questions about the tax return or the IRS needs more information. When will I get my refund?
The IRS expects the earliest EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or debit cards starting February 27, 2019, if these taxpayers chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return. Why does it take so long for the funds to show up in my account?
It takes additional time for refunds to be processed after leaving the IRS, and for financial institutions to accept and deposit them to bank accounts and products like debit cards. Also, many financial institutions do not process payments on weekends or holidays, which can affect when refunds reach taxpayers. For EITC and ACTC filers, the three-day holiday weekend involving President’s Day affects their refund timing. How do I check the status of my refund?
Where’s My Refund on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go mobile app remains the best way to check the status of a refund. Where’s My Refund will be updated with projected deposit dates for most early EITC and ACTC refund filers by February 23 so those filers will not see a refund date on Where’s My Refund or through their software packages until then. The IRS, tax preparers and tax software will not have additional information on refund dates, so these filers should not contact or call about refunds before the end of February. -

My tax rep informed me today. Since my e-file was excepted Jan. 13, I should be part of the 1st batch of refunds that will be released on Monday, Feb. 18,(2nd batch the following Monday Feb. 25 etc etc.) and to check that day. Today Feb. 15 they are processing them only. we most likely won’t receive an update today. Hope that helped any for anyone else. :)

I trade stocks for a living. I hate to believe this, but if you think about how businesses are require to release their quarterly earnings report every three months in the stock market, the PATH ACT puts refunds out just as the new earning season starts. Thus helping businesses report a more up lifting Q2 report. But my family has plans to put 60% in savings to help pay off the mortgage in 5 years, and use the remaining caaaaash to pay 90% of our CC debt off.
-
February 15, 2019 at 11:31 am #4271419Jimzzz
Everyone hates on the PATH act but there’s a lot more to it than the two week hold. The PATH Act has a TON of features that benefit us just go read it. It’s a really good thing

My wife filed 1/14 and was accepted 1/16. Been on the Path Act for weeeeeeks. Its not fair that parents have to wait for their refund, while single folks don’t. Our government creates these laws/rules but fail to use common sense with them. I understand the Path Act is to ensure both parents don’t claim the same children, but last time I checked parents are adults. Treat them as such. If you perform fraud, then you deserve what’s coming to ya. I filed today, seperate from my wife due to my job. Its already been accepted by the IRS within 10 minutes of filing. BULL

I’ve always received my refund at the end of January so I am ignorant of this hold. This is my first year receiving the PATH ACT notice. I am getting $153 for ACTC so I’m assuming that is why that message. I’ve noticed people mentioning weekly/daily schedules. What does that mean? How do I know which schedule?

One bar, TT 152First year filing MFJ with EITC and ACTC. I have been told several different things in the process of 1) trying to find out how much if any will be offset from our return 2) weather or not our status (PATH) would be updated on WMR prior to the 2/15 hold date for PATH or if I’m just a sitting duck. The TOPS line only says theres 2 things my husband MAY be offset, I ordered transcripts by mail on 02/05 but of course we have 0 credit cards and 0 loans so I can only get them by mail, dont have them yet so I have no clue whats on it, once i ordered the 2018 transcript it just popped up saying theyve received the order…..does anyone have any advice??? Thanks in advance, and good luck to all!!!!

February 14, 2019 at 10:32 pm #4270451Josh
The processing date on your account transcripts is the date that is 21 days from the day your filed it doesn’t mean that’s when they are going to start processing it…
-
February 13, 2019 at 11:58 pm #4269067Heath
Ok….so I finally got an update on Where’s my return. I HAVE BARS!!!! However it ONLY says received while the lady at Jackson Hewitt said it was processed and sitting in the IRS bank??? awaiting deposit after the 15th/PATH act. So…who should I believe at this point?
-
February 13, 2019 at 11:16 pm #4269049Heath
@Tracy….I thought the exact same thing. I think she must be full of….I don’t know the rules for posting in regards to swearing so….SH*T because 1. According to EVERYONE they CANNOT be released before the 15th and 2. Exactly why would someone continue posting all day AFTER getting paid.
I think it’s simply to worry others about their own returns. I’ve seen other people posting nasty/cruel messages about people receiving the EIC/ACTC credits and I think that’s sh*tty too. I’ve worked full time for 21 years and NEVER came close to qualifying for the EIC but due to a layoff/personal problems I did this year…..and I’m beyond grateful. It is going to be a massive help. And after paying taxes for 24 years and rarely seeing a return I don’t believe there’s ANYTHING wrong with it. I personally don’t believe there’s ANYTHING wrong with single mothers/elderly/low income/anybody that qualifies receiving it either. As someone who is benefiting YET never before received it YET paid YEARS & YEARS of taxes I’D RATHER MY TAXES GO TO PEOPLE IN NEED vs Politicians and Government Agencies that spend without regard.
It sucks that people are so cruel and it sucks that people who need their returns have to wait the longest……unless of course youre Missy!!!!
-
February 13, 2019 at 11:01 pm #4269043Tracy
Why is this missy person posting on almost every single thread that she has received her/or his lol, refund today claiming both credits? I have seen posts coming in from multiple threads for about 5 hours now. I know if I got my refund by now with both credits claimed I would not be spending hours still on this forum. I would have said what I needed to and left until next tax season. Sounds like bs to me
-
February 13, 2019 at 10:48 pm #4269037Heath
Ok…maybe you guys can answer some questions for me. I was laid off early in 2018 and just had a handful of personal problems which resulted in qualifying for the Earned Income Credit for the 1st time EVER!!! I also qualified for the ACTC credit as well. For the past 12 years, aside from 1 year where my daughter’s mother decided to screw me, I’ve claimed my daughter EVERY OTHER YEAR. In years past when I’d claim her I never had to wait as I clearly did not meet the other credits.
So I was super stoked when I realized I was set to get back 3 times THE MOST I’ve ever recieved! And honestly it’s going to be a GIANT HELP and I’m grateful to recieve it as I have never qualified and I surely won’t qualify next year either. So I filed with Jackson Hewitt on Feb 1st and through the JH website I saw that the return was recieved by the IRS on the 1st as well. My problem or concern however is that from my filing date ANYTIME I’ve tried to check the status on tge IRS.GOV site I don’t get ANY BARS AT ALL…. I never have. When I type in my information it promts me to RE-ENTER the info and to enter the date filed and whether electronically or by mail. Once I do that it says that “The IRS cannot relinquish any information about my return and that I must wait a full 24 hours after filing before I can check the status on the site” or something like that and then I get the 152 message about the generic path, etc, etc.
So I called Jackson Hewitt today as their site has been down and the women over the phone told me they had been processed and recieved and that the funds were in the “IRS BANK” and just waiting to be released? Again, I’ve admittedly never dealt with this PATH issue before BUT I’d also never heard anything about an “IRS BANK”??? Can anyone confirm this is true and what exactly it means for my return? I would greatly appreciate it and I hope and pray that ALL of you GOOD folks waiting IN NEED of this money recieve it soon….myself included!!!
-
February 13, 2019 at 10:35 pm #4269028Chris
I filed mine on 1/22 accepted on 1/23 didn’t get the PATH message until 2/11 (I think) lol says to check back mid to late February I still got the 152 code I know I’m not alone everyone is concerned because we’re counting on that refund! 💯
-
February 13, 2019 at 8:30 pm #4268898Brandi
I am a eic, ctc, and pather as well. I was accepted 1/23 and i only got on bar on the wmr tool before I got the path message. I have contacted the irs and was told there’s no issues with my return. Not flagged for anything.
I think anyone who’s says they filed ctc and eic and got thier return already probably not being truthful… HOWEVER, I was once told that the irs goes by the 4th and 5th numbers of your ssn to categorize tax payers. Who knows, watched pot never boils.
Good luck PATHERS!

February 13, 2019 at 5:11 pm #4268712TJ
Missy did you ever get the path message?
-
February 13, 2019 at 4:12 pm #4268643Missy
I wouldn’t stress over a PATH message. I filed someone’s taxes that received the PATH message within a day (filed 2/7) and still no movement or DDD. However, I filed on 2/5 with EIC and CTC and got my deposit today, 2/13. Still showing 2 bars, no PATH message but has a ddd of 2/13 – which is obviously correct because it’s in my bank accounts now. Chase shows pending but has already made the funds available. My credit union and other bank account have it posted to account already.

February 13, 2019 at 2:37 pm #4268491Mel
I filed on Jan. 12. efile was accepted on the 13th.I’m going on 32 days today. I still have the PATH message ….

You won’t see a date until after the 15th. Saturday’s are a major update day. I was accepted in the test batch and have the path message. Got the path message on 1/29.

I called the IRS and spoke with a really nice lady who told me that even though it has not updated to the path message as long as it is not showing a tax code other that TT152 we should be fine and its just processing. Fingers crossed she knows what she is talking about.

you will see a ddd on wmr after on the morn of the 13th or 14th. they wont even release to you the ddd till then, unless you were in the test batch. you will see message 152 till then, which essentially means youve been processed and are fine and ok. just waiting to get past a certain date. any other message with a # is a issue with return

Kinda pissed I can’t get transcripts online without a loan number or a credit card. I don’t have either at the moment.
-
February 12, 2019 at 5:57 pm #4267310Rwatts
Still on PATH message, my fiance has always got his return (with EIC) on the 16th at 3:22 pm without a WMR update, so who knows?
-
February 12, 2019 at 4:24 pm #4267167
I never got an update last year to WMR, and ive gotten those credits every year for the last 7 years. A lot of times WMR inst right or doesn’t update till you have already gotten your DD. this year prob has people panicking be of the looming shut down.
-
February 12, 2019 at 4:19 pm #4267159wondering
@Robert even for the people who did no update to the path message?
-
February 12, 2019 at 4:15 pm #4267156Robert
Topic 152 doesn’t mean 2/15. Lol. There will be an update for most PATHERS on Saturday morning with many have a dd of 2/21. Just relax and wait until Saturday. Trust me. It’s been this way every year since they have had the mandatory hold. Check back Saturday morning and most people will be happy. I promise.

For anyone who hasn’t gone online and setup an account to review your transcripts you might think about it.
They are helpful and from my opinion provide info before WMR does. There is also a lot of info and help on these forums this year if you have transcript questions.
-
February 12, 2019 at 2:10 pm #4266967wondering
I filed on 2/1 was accepted the same day and still have 1 bar tt 152. I have EIC credit only. My taxes are so simple its embarrassing. My ex filed the same day with ATC and updated to path the next day. So I have been nervous and worried ever since.

I filed on January 26
Accepted January 28 had 1 bar then went to Path a few days after my guess is until January 31 and it hasn’t moved but was able to order both transcripts by mail in which I’ve received yet so kinda wondering where I maybe at? I’ve both credits… -
February 11, 2019 at 2:18 am #4264914
I also havent updated to Path message. I havent filed a return since 2011 due health issues and not working, so Path is new to me. I was accepted on 1/28 and of course, I am panicking because a lot of people are updating to that message. My transcripts are also blank and the only income showing with SSA is my W2. Still waiting on self employed to report.
-
February 11, 2019 at 2:04 am #4264908B
No…the Where my refund had never updated for me until after DD hit… .
-
February 11, 2019 at 2:00 am #4264906John
No problem. I have seen people with path have to id verify or review path is just basically a verbiage on WMR it really doesn’t matter if you don’t update last year my brother never updated now that I remember and he got his the same day I got mine. Always take what people say here with a grain of salt everyone return is different. @ Rayne
-
February 11, 2019 at 1:50 am #4264904RayneFayth
@John thank you. I was worried. I was able to order return transcript but read that doesn’t mean anything. People keep saying if you don’t update to path it means you’re being reviewed or have to verify identity. So I started to panic. Thanks for the positive answer.
-
February 11, 2019 at 1:44 am #4264902John
Not likely I saw people get theyre refund last year and they never updated so you shouldn’t be worried if it shows something else then it would be bad but you should not have any issue. @Rayne

-
February 7, 2019 at 11:31 pm #4262387Nikki
@jessica
Tax topic 152 is just a generic message telling all the ways one could receive their refund. I’ve had that for years on Where’s My Refund. Last year I had it and I had to ID verify. It tax topic 152 literally means nothing! -
February 7, 2019 at 11:00 pm #4262376Jessica
Anyone think Tax Topic 152 could mean 15th of feb? Lol seems too easy.
Global dates are backwards or maybe they tried to be clever. 15-2.. hope y’all get it. It’s late I could just be thinking too much 😂😋 -
February 7, 2019 at 3:58 pm #4262124jessica143
Same boat….filed 1/30 and accepted 1/31. 1 bar on the WMR site with TT 152 and refund IS showing. Return transcripts are N/A and when I open Wage and Account transcripts it says no return has been filed. We have school credits and ACTC.
Seems like we haven’t gotten into the batch for processing yet. No transcripts no path message. Has been sitting like that for a week as of tomorrow.
Filed with HRB and direct deposit.

February 7, 2019 at 9:13 am #4261426Jenna
I filed 1/28 and accepted 1/28 and I haven’t updated either. I do not have the 9001 code. Kinda stressing me out too. Plus, I tried to get transcripts and used my login info from the previous years but they wanted me to verify myself again and all the info I submitted was rejected and said it wasn’t a match but it was definitely correct on my end.

February 7, 2019 at 3:53 am #4261032
I hope this helps I wrote a topic about it. Spoke to a very nice woman yesterday I got the 9001 she looked at my return and said everything is good and done and that because I have kids I’m claiming that I’m on hold until the 15th. She said the 9001 is a error and has nothing to do with anything the computer is sending it out as a mistake and that they are very backed up and trying to do everyone’s quickly before the shutdown again

I almost feel like it’s the roll of the dice. My best friend last year filed a day after me (I filed on opening day) hers was updated before mine and deposited before mine on 2/27 we both file hoh with EIC and CTC and I didnt get mine until 3/6. And apparently this year her fiance filed with the CTC on 1/28 and got it on 1/30… So what the hell! Neither her or I have any updates, same 1 bar and 152 code. I filed on 1/25 and I believe she filed a day later again on 1/26. She has 3 kids and I have 4

I’m wondering what’s up with PATH this year. I’ve seen posts with DDD from path filers already, etc. I filed 1/30 and was accepted 1/31 with HRB. Still on one bar and TT 152. WMR app just told me it was unavailable and to check later so maybe an update is happening.
To me it sounds like most are just at the one bar TT 152 topic until it switches to DDD status. I could be wrong. Did they bypass the path message this year and just keep everyone at the one bar status update until they have been processed?
-
February 6, 2019 at 1:55 am #4259438MinnesnowtaGirl
I agree!!!!! This year is my firs these filing February. Every year that I have filed early with EIC and ACTC as a pather, I have gotten my tax return late March and everyone who filed after me got theirs much sooner. Never again!!
-
February 6, 2019 at 1:48 am #4259429Bobbi
I filed 1/18 with acceptance on 1/22 EITC & CTC. WMR showed 1 bar and then switched to PATH msg on 2/2 with no further movement. My sister, however, filed on 1/31 with CTC only with same day acceptance and as of 5:30pm today shows her refund as a pending ACH for 2/8 in her bank but still no other movement on wmr. It’s literally still on 1 bar. After reading thru alot of these various threads, I’ve come to the conclusion that we’re in a “u just don’t know until it’s there” scenario! Lol Anywho, last year I filed EITC & CTC on 1/24 , was accepted on 1/26 and with no updates on WMR apart from the 1 bar, I woke up on 2/8 to find my refund was dd in my acct. No emails, texts..etc. Praying for the same this year right! Good Luck to all!
-
February 6, 2019 at 12:30 am #4259399
I agree with @buckeyesgirl it seems the people who filed prior to 01/24 have not moved. It seems that every year since PATH the people who file too early receive an update later than those who file close to or on the day tax season opens.
-
February 5, 2019 at 11:39 pm #4259384ihatetaxes
Same boat. Filed late January, don’t remember what date. No update after RETURN RECIEVED, Topic 152. I honestly am not worried. Between the PATH act and the shutdown, it will update eventually. Nothing we can do but wait.
-
February 5, 2019 at 11:35 pm #4259382
I’m a PATHer. Have been since it started. Filed and accepted 1/24. Sitting at 1 bar and TT 152. Still no PATH message for me. From some of the other post, it looks like the ones of us that filed that week, we haven’t moved yet…
