      If I have a state tax (NC) that is going to offset my federal refund, would I hear that on the treasury hotline? Also, if anyone knows if receiving a CP503 from the IRS means my federal refund will definitely be offset by the IRS? I spoke with a lady from the IRS today and she didn’t exactly give me a direct answer.

          If your state is apart of the IRS Offset program, then yes the debt would show up on the offset hotline if they submitted it.
