Hi everyone,
I filed online with H&R Block and was offered a Spruce account for my refund. I figured why not, so I signed up. I filed on 1/16 and it was accepted on 1/25. My refund paid my remaining tax balance (yay!!), and the leftover was to be sent to my Spruce account. A payment was sent from the IRS on 2/7, but I have not seen it in my account yet. When I called Spruce, I was transferred to HRB’s Emerald card fraud department (despite saying I don’t have an Emerald card), then to another HRB department where the rep was yawning through the call and having me repeat myself before reading me a paragraph about how my refund was held up due to me claiming a child tax credit. I replied I am single with no dependents, so I believe that did not apply to me. He then gave me the number to Spruce, who doesn’t show a pending payment.
I work 12-15 hour shifts, so I am unable to sit on hold for at least an hour with the IRS. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you!
