The amount they gave me was lower than my expected refund amount, so I called the treasury offset program and they offset me for state tax owed from 2020. But will I still get my refund on time?

So it seems a majority of 2/22 credit karma users with fees/advance going thru SBTPG got their refund on 21st (with the normal SBTPG updating in morning (PST) and funds to credit karma between afternoon and 530pm (est)
Every year SBTPG has updated in morning I’ve received before 5pm usually between 330 to -445pm most years)
So , 2/23 ddd with ck SBTPG processing here’s holding out hope for us in morning !

I’ve filed with TT/SBTPG for almost 10 years and every year I have gotten my refund either on my DDD or the evening before. It’s the Wednesday eve/Thursday after Pres. day. Never fails. To answer your question people want answers, not theories. It’s worse to tell desperate people to have hope every day, making’em check sites every 10 min, and upset when it’s not there. It’s painful for those looking for real answers. It’s better to set real expectations.

She said she understood that it seems misleading to taxpayers when we are told are funds are not held. She said it had to go thru all the steps on their end for processing. Which still doesn’t make sense, as they have our money so why wouldn’t the processing begin immediately(or stop telling people you don’t hold funds) I think that’s what is the most upsetting . SBTPG will not deposit money early. Again, it will not deposit early. It has been like this for years, and I’ve used them before. So it’s pointless to come up with scenarios as to why they should deposit early. It will be there the day off around noon. Today is a holiday so there are no banks processing anything. It’s just 2 days away.

How does the Refund Transfer work?
Usually 1 to 2 days before a refund is scheduled to arrive, the IRS sends a pre-notification of the refund amount to TPG. The IRS does not deposit the money at this time, but it is only a notification that the refund is on its way. We set up the disbursement upon receiving that pre-notification so that the money reaches the taxpayer on the same day it would have if the money was deposited directly from the the IRS into the taxpayer’s bank account.

I have dealt with SBTPG for years now and they have never released anything earlier than possibly one day prior to the DDD. Last year they deposited it to my CK card on the day that was listed by the IRS. Unfortunately, if you are going through SBTPG for your fees or your refund advance, you will NOT be getting it any earlier than the DDD or a day before.

Not to mention that Presidents Day isn’t a holiday they are observing this year. I’ve been deposited on either Saturday or Sunday before in the past, whether we get it this weekend or not, let’s be positive and fortunate.

I stopped using TT due to SBTPG. They took forever to release my funds. I’m using H&R this year and it doesn’t seem like it will be much different. Atleast you can track your refund on SBTPG.

@Mommyof3x if you got the advance it will go to SBTPG first and they will not release it super early, you may receive it on the 22nd because they sometimes release it a day early. SBTPG holds the funds for as long as possible.

Transcripts have been available since last week. 846 this morning with 2/23/2023 next to it. I always get it on Friday and never received it on the day that is on the transcript. After seeing several ppl that used TT with or without advance deposit to Credit karma say their acct on SBTPG is still showing unfunded and they had 2/22 ddd, and my ddd being 2/23 I’m losing hope I’ll see it today.
Although I’ve heard from others that in pst CK didn’t show deposits until after 5pm est.
guess next year I need to deposit to chime or cashapp. Those ppl get theirs so fast lol

I got my 846 in my transcript & DDD of 2/23 this morning. Cycle code 20230605, as of date changed 3 times. It changed to an as of date of 3/6 this morning. But, still all good. I filed & was accepted w TT on 1/30/23, had fees taken out, no advance. I bank with Wells Fargo & get my deposits 2 days early, hoping for my funds tonight or tomorrow🤞🤞🤞 Blessings to all, hoping everyone 👀 their refunds soon!

DD: 2/22 currently unfunded, I did fees only (no advance) with TT and DD into Credit Karma. See ya’ll here when we are in the clear with sbtpg :)

Just here to lurk lol. DD 2/22 I have netspend and get my deposit 2 days early. But that would land me on Presidents’ Day which banks are closed. So I’m hoping I get my money today or tomorrow. SBTPG shows unfunded so far.
