“TPG has not received your federal tax refund.” Thats what I see when I log into the taxpayer Portal on SBTPG website. BUT they do have my info and how much I’m supposed to be getting back, since they have that info does anyone else think that means I’ve been accepted by the IRS and WMR just hasn’t updated yet? If they really were still processing I’d assume SBTPG wouldn’t even let me log in yet..?

So I was told you can’t use their service unless you choose direct deposit… which I did choose direct deposit. For some reason the irs is mailing me a check instead of sending mine electronically. I have no offset I have nothing different same tax situation for years only 1 w-2… just weird lol. Anyway I can log in on sbtpg and see my account and that it is expected lol but that isn’t what the wmr says! So weird! The irs can not send a check to anyone but who is listed on the tax forms and to the address listed on the form. So I’m assuming I’ll get some type of bill. But I’m confused as to why I’m paying for their service if I didn’t use it lol!

I wonder what happens if you are paying your fees out of the refund and you request a check instead of direct deposit. Do the cash your check at sbtpg the mail you a cashiers check? Has anybody ever done this?

                    Hello,

The IRS does not provide any information regarding return process or release dates.

The tax payer is provided with the IRS website to view the status of their return.

Once the IRS releases return, TPG is able to pay the fees required. Immediately after, refund is issued to tax payer.

                    Have a wonderful day.

                    Thank you,
                    TPG Customer Service

Ken, thanks for your input and info! I just found out about it today so I hadn’t checked any earlier in the month.

I’ve been logging in there for over a week, so I don’t think it means anything at this point. I don’t even have a DDD yet, but all my info is in their system.

I think TurboTax sends them your information as soon as you file through them and agree to have your fees paid from your refund, since that’s what SBTPG does. My info has been available on SBTPG since 1/31, the day after my return was accepted.
