It probably won’t matter if the bank is open or not. It has to do with the US treasury and the ACH postings. If they are submitted on a day the treasury is closed, it will settle on the next business day. Here is some information that I found in regards to that:

      American National Bank
      Important Holiday Notice
The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Monday, February 20, 2017 for Presidents’ Day. American National Bank will be open.

For businesses that conduct ACH transactions, please keep in mind that ACH transactions cannot settle on Monday, February 20 and processing does not occur on the weekend.

To ensure payment by Friday, February 17, your ACH entries should be processed through iBank on Thursday, February 16, and dated for February 17. We recommend that you transmit the ACH information prior to 9:30 AM.

Any transactions initiated on Friday, February 17, will not settle until Tuesday, February 21.

If you initiate or request wires on Monday, February 20, they will be processed the following day, Tuesday, February 21, because the Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Monday.

I had fees taken out for my state return as an option. I checked the SBBT, and they couldn’t find my information, but it seems that as soon as I started writing them for information on what happened, I saw my pending deposit. SMH. I filed with TaxHawk with the option of paying for my state return out of my federal. NEVER AGAIN! I will be paying the $15 up front from now on. All of that for $24.24? The least that could have been done was update their system!

Check your bank / credit union. You may already have a pending deposit. I filed 1/23 and have a ddd of 2/22.

Oh…. and my information is still listed as UNAVAILABLE with SBBT!

Is there an automated phone number to check the status with sbtpg?

Does anyone gave the phone number to a live agent over at SBTPG?

I’m not able to view anything on sbtpg.com. Its telling me the website is down. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Hopefully this is a good sign and that they are updating.

You forgot this bitton portion here that was included as well.

Please remember the Federal Reserve is closed on these days, the effective date (settlement date/posting date) and transmission date of your ACH files and transactions will be impacted since the Federal Reserve will not process transactions on these dates. For instance, if you send ACH transactions on November 26 with an effective date of November 27, the transactions will not be processed on the 27th, instead they will be posted on the 28th. Likewise, if you send an ACH file on February 17, a day American National Bank is open, but the Federal Reserve is closed, we are not able to send the file until February 18, making the first available posting date February 19.

*Federal Reserve Bank is closed but American National Bank is open – no wire transfers or ACH can be transacted on these days.

That should settle a lot of the questions and supposing and expectations that have come up here.

                                  Thank you for posting that!

Back to watching the clock tick ever so slowly to the 23rd.

Its kinda like watching grass grow or paint dry.
