My WMR updated with DDD of 3/25/20. Checked SBTPG paragragh about them not receiving refund is gone and now says payment details. But it doesn’t show an amount in the received section. Has this happened to anyone else and did they get there refund

My original check was mailed 3/3/20 but for some reason my mail carrier did not foward it to my new address, so it was sent back to them. They remailed it to my new address and was told it was put in the mail Wednesday.

I called TPG today and they said they aren’t giving tracking numbers to anyone and that they ONLY send out regular mail…so idk. I’m just gonna try and be patient a little longer. They told me they wouldn’t give me a tracking number and that it would come regular mail. Mine was sent out on Tuesday. I’ve been waiting since the 26th. I did my notarized paper too.

You guys. I had to have my check reissued. I submitted my IB form notarized saying I wouldnt cash the 1st if it ever came. Submitted that on Monday and then they mailed out my check yesterday via certified mail through FedEx and I hot my tracking number will be here monday!!

I received a phone call today from a lady at TPG Santa Barbara bank out if San Diego department. She stated my check was returned to them as my time had lapsed on my mail being fowarding. But because the post office and I both verified my new address, the are mailing my check to my new address and it will not be sent back to the IRS…HORRAY!!

A lot of us opted for DD but they said our account numbers weren’t correct so they sent checks out. It’s a massive amount of people that haven’t received paper checks

When it comes from TPG, it’s not considered a government issued piece of mail. It comes in a white envelope. So yes, it should be forwarded. :(

You should contact your local USPS, not all offices will forward government mailings. I’d call to check if yours does forward because if they don’t they will likely return to sender.

Just Got an identification verification. Try and do it online.. Nope, information don’t match!! Pops up random as questions makes no sense! You pick the most relevant answers to the question and still nope! If their information is wrong on their end, thats on them don’t be pushing it off onto us! OMGGggggg!! What a tax year!!

I did not request a check…I was supposed to get direct deposit but according to TPG Santa Barbara bank my bank rejected it and they had to issue me a check. Been waiting since 2/26/20 for my refund due to someone’s mistake.

I’ve spoken with sbtg they say they have had clients who’s checks have been forwarded. I spoke to the post office who said it could take longer because I’m at a new address. Nothing in the mail today 🙄 the post office said if I haven’t seen it by next Friday 03/20 then to go through the process.

Also when trying to call sbtg after you go through the prompts and it tells you about you deposit or check press option 2 listen again then you should be able to press 2 for a operator. I got some email from Turbo Card saying sorry u didn’t qualify for advance…etc sending card out to u. This was last week, and I filed in January. Says I didn’t qualify for advance because it was after they offered it. But I applied January 28. So, definitely the problem must be turbo tax this year.

Hey yeah you are good to go now. You will diffeanly have a ddd this weekend. No I’m suppose to get a DD on TT’s intuit turbo card. I just saw where some ppl from the ddd26th group and the 3/4 group were having issues and being sent checks instead of DD’s because of some problem. Seen some who are still waiting on thier checks. I hope they have that resolved for us 3/11 and up ppl. But atleast the wmr irs wait lol is over

My return was sent out by IRS on 2/26 and TBG initially said my SSN was invalid but now it says they have not received as of yet which Is BS. I called Turbo Tax and IRS on issue with TBG. From now on I will pay my filing fees upfront but I’ve been using turbo tax for years and this is honestly the first time I’ve had an issue receiving my money on time. My bank did say direct deposits do not always show up until after they are available so he said it’s possible it’s processing. BOA. Anyhow, Santa Barbara bank systems crashed, that is on them, not our banks! This is not their first rodeo. The IRS website will not show money deposited for a few days, but those expecting refunds for 02/26/19 were deposited to Santa Barbara on 02/25/19. Santa Barbara Bank has had the money for over 24 hours.

I just got off the phone with Santa Barbra, the rep was nice and helpful, she said it was sent but it can take up to 24-48 hours for the money to hit your account. She told me if i didn’t see it tonight or in the morning to call back and let them know. she went over all my bank information to make sure it was correct and it was so now i just have to wait till tomorrow hopefully it come through tonight

SBTPG refund received 2/25 and sent 2/26 all my old bank statements show i always received my money on time. WTF is going on. Seems like SBTPG is holding our money for purposes of accruing interest.

Sorry I just wanna give you guys with turbo tax cards and hrb cards some hope…..I always used to get the turbo tax netspend card and on my date it wouldn’t be there in the morning it would show up anytime after 5pm!!! I got my refund this morning between 5-6am because it’s a regular financial institution so there is hope for today still for anyone with the prepaid cards!!! Good luck!!!

When I look at the website the DDD says 2/26 but when I call the number it says it was sent 2/25. The WMR app doesn’t say that the funds have been sent yet but SBTPG says they were. Still nothing, what’s going on??

And Terri, mine also said sent 2/25/20 on the Sbtpg site. When I called it said my refund was paid to my account on 02/26/20 and received the money at 6:30 cst tonight. The pie charts (red, green) don’t seem to matter, nor do the dates. If your WMR said ddd of 02/26, you should get it by morning at the latest. My WMR didn’t have a ddd because of an offset, just said if not credited by 03/02 to check back. Hope this helps. Also, I used turbo card for the first and last time this year!

It has been this first time in 2 years the IRS has had their crap together and actually deposited it on the day that WMR says. Shocking. My refund showed received and my fees deducted at 8 am est this morning. As of 6:26 pm est it still hasn’t hit my Walmart money card, a green dot company. Called three times. They keep saying it’s being done in batches and will post today. We shall see, so super pissed. Last time ever dealing with Santa Barbara Group. I won’t even use software that uses them even if I pay my fees upfront. Need a petition- start hitting them where it hurts and customer service will improve.

Same here. I also bank with NFCU. I had fees taken out but the refund sent to my account. SBTGP updated late last night or this morning with the green circle showing refund had been sent. havent been able to log in since 8 this morning. Ill check back after 5PM MST for an update. You can call the offset number which can be found on https://igotmyrefund.com/talk-to-human-at-irs/ theres a list of irs #s. That way you can make sure amt owed amd amt taken match without any discrepancies

Yes any time you have some sort of offset school loan, underpaid, etc etc they will keep the amt they are owed and send the rest via your chosen payment method dd, or paper check. There is a list of important numbers at https://igotmyrefund.com/talk-to-human-at-irs/ that is very helpful you can call the offset line to make sure the amt they took and the amt you owed match up correctly.😁

I used turbo tax and I have a red ring showing they issued the whole amount but I get 0. I checked back a few minutes later it showed they got issued a separate amount and my refund was reduced about 500. None of the amounts matched. Checked again and it’s the red ring. So “amount paid to you” is the amount that will be paid to you but at the top of the page make sure to check where it shows your federal return expected amount and slide over. Mine still shows $0 received when I slide over or view in desktop view. I also updated to the red and green ring that shows deductions and remaining amount that will be paid to me once they finally “receive my funds from the IRS”

Mine was a CU and didn’t start posting early payday deposits until last year, but it was still in the early hrs of DDD. We used Turbo for at least 5or6 years in a row. It’s always the same. I’m hoping for a better outcome this year!

Red circle is for fees you owe and green is what’s been paid out in advance. But the red circle also means that the irs has let them know your money is coming soon. That’s why you see what fees are taken out under the red circle. Hope that helps

Has anybody else taken a look at sbbtpg refund transfer policy? It says 1-2 days before the IRS sends a pre-notification of the refund and that is what they use for fees and transfer of funds. So based off of that….it should be tonight or tomorrow when DD hits accounts

Lessons I learned from this year, I will never have fees taken out of refund and two, I won’t file early and three, I won’t be using TT. First year I have ever filed early. Usually file 2nd or 3rd wk of Feb. I filed 1/22 this year.
I was able to log into sbtpg, no issues, now seriously I’m not logging into it until morning 🤣🤣. I hope everyone gets their dd by end of tomorrow.

I been using turbo tax for about 6 years and what I noticed is I always recieved my refund around 4 to 7 pm ish with American Express Bluebird except in 2016 it was a couple days early and that posted around 10 that night. I’m just wondering now If my state going to post today because that said it was to be sent to the bank by the 24th I dont know if that means it suppose to deposit today or not

The process with SBTG is IRS direct deposits to them, they take fees out, then direct deposit to you. So if IRS sent today. It will show on SBTG tomorrow, then they will send to your bank and you’ll see it the next. That’s how it’s always worked. They move very slow and like to sit on your money as many hours as possible making interest. So if you have a 2/26 DDD you will not get it until 2/26

Update, my sbtpg used to be all green because of the refund advance sent to me. Changed to mostly green with red for the $170 fees. Now I just checked it’s all red for fees and no longer says anything about my refund advance so sbtpg has received my refund even though it does not show yet. I keep seeing people speak of a pie chart on their sbtpg account. I don’t see that on mine it just says refund not recieved and gives me the link to WMR and the EITC message.

First time to post here. I don’t have fees coming out of my refund, but do have the TT advance. On the sbtg site, I have a green circle, showing that I received my advance. Will the advance money be taken out of my refund through sbtg as well?

You are very welcome Jake! It is not my first time using turbo tax or turbo card. And second year getting the advance.

Green circle does NOT always mean your federal refund has been sent. It also means that sbtpg has sent you your refund advance. The only time someone would ha e a fully green circle is the time between receiving the advance until sbtpg updates to have your fees taken out OR because one dis not get the advance and their refund has been sent to them.

The sbbt process fees deductions so it’s basically nothing more than a waiting game on how quickly they process yours. The circle will start to change green as fees are taking one by one once your circle is completely green then it’s sent to your bank. Not a moment sooner. Only people who paid fees upfront are getting their deposits already.

About the circle…

I have had a solid green circle since 1/28/2020 the day I received my advance. The green means what has been paid to you.

Up until now I did not have any part of my circle red. So now my circle is $2k for the advance and $170.

If your circle is red you must not have gotten the advance. It would be fully red due to fees then because sbtpg has not sent you your federal refund yet.

If SBTPG has received your refund, you would have a red or green circle. If you don’t see that circle and it is saying “your refund hasn’t been received ” then they have not received your refund and updated yet.

If red is fees then in trouble. I have a full red circle. I didn’t get an advance, and the only thing coming out is the 170. filing fee. Mine also says amount received is 0. How does the Refund Transfer work?

They will only show fees for now after 2pm Cali time they will start to show what is sent to you. Remember in California time. And yes they are still updating. Remember that it’s the computer doing all the work from receiving notifications from the irs systems and not actually people because it’s over night. They open at 7am in California time. U may notice it shows fees paid but still says 0 received. That’s because it’s still receiving everyone’s in bulk and sorting through details

Anyone using SBTPG will have a green/red circle, rather you received a refund or not. It is normal for that to be there. Regarding your amounts being different, no clue. Also, SBTPG is west coast and will not update until AFTER 9am pacific time and they do NOT update over the weekend. I used TT for years and had fees removed, which is done by SBTPG. Mine always showed up on their site the day BEFORE my DDD. Hoping you guys have better luck and it shows for you today.

It usually hits New York between 530 and 7 same thing every year for me. It will say received all morning if u call they will tell you they didn’t get it or that the have to take fees out but the real deal is they wait until after lunch hour to send out. In the morning they will do all of the fees taken out crap

The IRS website where you went to go on where’s my refund to check for approval is the same place that they will update as refund sent. so a lot of people stop checking the Where’s My refund and start checking the other site but it will say on the IRS where’s my refund on the last bar refund sent

Thank you to those who replied. I went to FAQ on TurboTax and an employee replied that if no fees or advance then no refund does not go through Santa Barbara. It’s sends directly to bank. Hope that helps someone

I had BoA for 2 years last year i received it a day early but that may have been due to the government shutdown and they were processing faster than they normally would because the year prior it was the exact ddd given. Good luck!! Keep checking and update everyone pls and ty😁

I personally had the advance and fees taken out so for me on the mobile website it shows a gigantic green circle with the amount that was paid to me for my advance and a small sliver of that circleis red and represents the fees they have deducted based on my advance amount. Once they actually receive the money it should show under the amount received section at the top right of the page. Hope that helped a little😁

SBTPG isn’t going to show money received for 2/26 deposits until 2/25. FACTS.

Prepaid and TT cards will receive it within hours. Maybe some CU’s. Traditional bank accounts will post it on 2/26.

I would believe it. I filed with TT last year and got a ddd for Wed 2/27 and got my refund that Sunday before on 2/24 a little after 10:30 pm EST, but I had Netspend(Bancorp) so I’m sure that had a lot to do with it.

They may be recieving funds but from my experience of the last 5 years they release funds to your bank the day before your ddd.I’ve never recieved it sooner than that from Sbbt. I’m a weekly and my deposit dates have always been for Weds. Looking back on the last 5 years I’ve recieved deposit on a Tues. or Weds.
