If you had fees taken out and have a direct deposit for 2-23-17 you will not see your money until one day before I seen in the past that is how they post so their is no point in keep calling or checking its not HAPPENING…..

I’m hoping that is what it means. The message I get when I check the site changed Friday or Saturday. I can’t remember which day it was. Hopefully once ACH transactions get moving again we see something change.

@hiloshark
Do you realize a sender has the ability to recall an ACH right up until the make available date?
It rarely happens… But it can and does.. Its a safe guard put in place to prevent many things…. An employer could stop a deposit if for example they somehow paid someone double of what they earned. Just an example mind you.
Traditional banks have downfalls.. Yes. But they also provide many safe guards that a prepaid card doesn’t… Along with benefits.
They also have to follow federal regs.
This is why most do not release early.
If all someone is worried about is getting money early then they def should look into a prepaid card.

I spoke with a SBBT rep and this was her response:
TPG Customer Service Department is open today but however our Banking Division is closed due to the holiday and will open tomorrow during normal operating hours.

@tom
i work in a bank and worked payrol for hollywood video ad movie gallery.
this is how the ach and direct deposit work.they always send out DD at least 48 hours before in case theres a problem in processing said depsoit, whether its payroll or treasury or any other DD.
if you have a date for the 23rd, theyll send that shit out tonight around 9 pm eastern when the ach starts again.
tonight theyll send a prenote most likely to receiving banks giving them more info on your DD info. its in that prenote process that a lot of banks will just release funds to that client cuased they know the money is coming.

That’s not exactly how it works, but yeah, he’s correct when he says it’s all up to the Treasury.

those people got it early as ive stated before because the treasury could not send the DD on the 2oth like they nomally would have , but legally they have to get your money to you by the date stated. Thus they have to send out the DD via ach thursday evening / friday. some banking institutions drop the money into accts when they get it. other like wells fargo or other big banks got it, and will sit on that shit till tonight when the ach opens again around 10pm eastern or so tonight

Ive noticed that some folks who have DDD dates of 2/22 have also stated the money was showing in their banks on the 17th and 18th. I’m wondering if any of those people went through SBBT and received it that soon?
My DDD is 2-23. Was just curios.

Ok that’s what I was hoping. So if we are lucky we would see our deposit Tuesday but we are more than likely going to get them Wednesday. If only the processed the transfers on Sunday or holidays.

Under normal circumstances, you would potentially get your DD quicker with SBBT, due to the fact that as soon as they get notification of a pending transfer from the treasury, they go ahead and send the corresponding transfer to your bank account without waiting for the final transfer. In their words:
“Usually 1 to 2 days before a refund is scheduled to arrive, the IRS sends a pre-notification of the refund amount to TPG. The IRS does not deposit the money at this time, but it is only a notification that the refund is on its way. We set up the disbursement upon receiving that pre-notification so that the money reaches the taxpayer on the same day it would have if the money was deposited directly from the the IRS into the taxpayer’s bank account.”

Because of the holiday, however, we will be lucky to get it a day earlier. People really shouldn’t even hope for earlier than the 22nd.

Does TPG post when the prenote is received or when they get the actual deposit?? It states that they send the funds transfer to our bank once the prenote is received so we both receive the actual deposit at the same time. If they don’t post until they get the actual deposit what’s the point in checking their site? It would show up in our account at the same time.

god people BY the 23rd means nothing its word play to keep people calm. . if you look on your WMR on the bottom left it flaty sayd DDD feb 23rd. thats what they mean…do some people get it early? yes… a day or two. but sbbt will not release you funds till the date irs specifies. but this nonsence of spreading rumors about getting. and no .. a tax advocate will not help you now. youd have to be at least past that date that the irs says to check with your bank too see if theres a issue.
even then no tax advocacy office is open till tuesday.

This discussion is not supposed to be for belittling other people or their commets. This used to be a place that people came to for information and guidance. We have enough negative shit going on, stop the bickering and just keep the topic at hand in the forefront. At this point we should all be aware of the fact that the IRS is capable of shocking anyone. We got a DDD. If it comes sooner great. If not, that’s just how it is. Either way let’s be civil. We are adults and should have respect for other opinions.
