Returned Refund from Chime

Ok, so I get that Chime returned/rejected my refund because the acct is in my husbands name and the primary tax payer was myself. Understood. I have followed up with SBTPG and they are sending me a check. Says it could take up to March 10th to get it.

My question is how long has it taken y’all to get the check after it’s been mailed out. SBTPG said they created the check to send out today.

I got a number wrong in my account last year, it only took a week for the whole process of rejection by bank and paper check arriving in my mailbox. I suspect they say three weeks just so people won’t bug them about it. It’s just a slight snag, you’ll have it before you know it, no worries.

Called the irs and she said that it can take up to 6 weeks for me to get the check. Well this sucks.

I asked the lady who did my taxes if it was ok and she said it was.

Ooo imma be pissed if emerald card pulls the same shit. I called them a week ago and asked them why they put the card in my wife’s name and put me as the primary taxee. My block lady assured me this wouldn’t be an issue. Imma be fuming mad if this is the case.

@Chimer, my guess is you’ll receive it by/before March 10. Which isn’t that far off considering how long it might have taken if it wasn’t going thru Santa Barbara. Here’s one case choosing that route will be helpful.

If SBTPG still offers to change account info, you may can just update with them directly. I did it before but it was a few years back. Maybe u can catch it.

I also have chime. Me and my wife used my account with chime for our refund. Heres hoping its all okay. Getting a little freaked out.

I used my husband’s Chime account too even though I’m primary on the return. Our state refund deposited with no issue today. Do you think our federal will be ok too or rejected?

I’ve never had an issue using someone’s account. However chime is not really trusted by many companies so idk I have no experience as I have my own accounts. And chime is the easiest account anyone can get

The good news, you don’t have to wait for it to go back to the IES, first. That’s the usual procedure.
