If you get the message Your refund is still being processed a refund date will be provided when available…
Your return had to do sometype of extra step. Could b for a variety of reasons. Last year I got the message and I had got an ID verify letter. This year I owed $1400 for an overpayment so I knew My refund had to forego an extra step in processing. Week after filing got the still processing blah blah a week later Today woke up to path message. Talked to IRS about my debt and rep told me yesterday that my refund shows fully processed, but it’s on hold before they can release it. Already knew I was a pather. I’m hopeful that sometime between Wednesday and Saturday I will have a DD. I only update on Saturday so I’m not stressing myself until the 15th. Filed super early 1/11 with JH. Also I called last week and was able to order my transcript thru mail hoping it comes today. I will update y’all with any movement for those in similar circumstances like me.

Thanks for posting that. I got a letter this year and it wants me to verify my unemployment income. I also had an overpayment so I am thinking that must be why.

So, if you have to ID verify, could that happen at any point? Say, after PATH message? I’ve read it happening when bars disappeared, or, as you’ve written, from processing to “still processing”, but could it change from path to still processing?
