ANYBODY KNOWS WHAT RESEQUENCING MEANS?

I filed on the 19th accepted on the 24th I woke up this morning with no bars on the where’s my refund website and when I try to order my transcripts it’s say the info you enter doesn’t match what we have on file what do this mean

it means the IRS is slacking and needs to make excuses.

I spoke with a IRS rep this morning and a resequence is a review if yours has a code however she said most of us have a resequence with no code which basically means we have a week delay after the 21 days due to the IRS getting in lots of returns at one time she said my projected refund date was 2/7 so itll be then or a week after. FILED 1/20 accepted 1/22 one bar no change tax topic 152.

Lis, I am a resequenced person. The IRS said its processing system overloaded and threw returns to the back of the line on 1/21 and 1/22. A glitch in the sytem. I filed 1/21 accepted 1/22 and IRS shows acceptance date of 1/25.
After the 25th i was resequenced and now have to wait 28 days for my rerurn.

How do you know if you’ve been resequenced??

You’ve been put back in the processing phase and will be released with the next batch. Depending on the reasoning behind the resequencing, it could be 1 or 2 cycles (Thursday – Wednesday cycles). Doesn’t usually mean auditing, but it does mean review of some type.
