Remembering from last year

I was trying to remember that last year they said first deposit date would be 5th but actually got mine on January 30th. Has that been the case most years? Is it earlier then they anticipate if there’s no problems with your return?

@mominillinois weekly only updates I believe Saturday and usually has a ddd of Wednesday. But daily is everyday. Weekly is usually for tax installments, address changes, identity theft I believe and a very other “special issues.” It’s not a bad thing but it’s not just a regular tax return

@Leslie, I’m not sure of the difference between daily and weekly. But if I get accepted in the first batch, I have my refund by the end of Jan. So I must be daily?

Just checked my statement from last year. I filed early but was a weekly instead of daily and got my refund 2/4 deposited in my account and that was also my ddd. So this year I will likely be the same and looking for a ddd of 2/3

I was accepted early the last 3 years (have not been accepted yet for this tax year) and always had mine by the end of Jan with the first DDD.

Also, it seems like even if you are accepted early no one ever gets there refund earlier then the first group does. Is that right?
