REJECTED? Please Help

Hello. I efiled both Federal and State tonight via H&R Block. After an hour I received rejections for both. When I sign it is says I have to mail my federal in. Why is that? We have never had a problem before. Is there a way around it? Thanks

Went thru it all again twice just to double check everything. Never did see why it was rejected. It did let me efile again. Thank God. I did notice that the 5 digit pin it says to create wasnt the same I used as last year so I am hoping by changing that it helps.

Note: I use TaxAct every year but I don’t believe H&R Block would be any different.

Yeah they should give you a reason. I was rejected once like 4 or 5 years ago and I was given an explicit reason.

I will say I dodged a bullet by looking closely at my W-2s. I’ve been with the same company for 5 years now, but their FEIN changed. Make sure you are not blindly importing your W-2 from last year without double-checking the details.

I plan on going thru each and every step today. We have used H&R Block for years, I personally have used it for 13 and never had a problem. Here’s to hoping there was a glitch. Thank you all.

You may want to go in and just MAKE SURE your numbers are correct, like social security numbers, amounts on the w2, names, etc….it may have been rejected from a simple typo and you can go in fix it…and try to efile again.

You may also want to try Turbo Tax or another system to file. I have had bad luck with H & R.

I can’t find a reason why or code for the life of me! All it says is rejected. I’ll keep looking though. Thanks.

Under status, it should say rejected and reason why it was rejected. Look it up and post here.
