Refunds Sent On Weekends?

Last year I checked my account balance on a Sunday to find that there was a deposit. Are refunds sent on weekends as well?

I keep checking SBTPG but I’m not even sure if it would show up as received on there since I used Taxslayer and I have seen “yes” and “no” that it goes through SBTPG when you use Taxslayer and I can’t find any definitive answers online.

I have been using Bank of America for nearly twenty years, and have had a couple of refunds show up on Saturday morning. I do not believe that is their regular policy, and have no idea if it is a normal thing or not.

I seem to remember Thursday being the day that we almost always got our refund for years, but the last several years it has been almost random. I have never received a refund on Sunday or Monday though.

If you see it on Saturday it’s because it was sent Friday. Most banks process their last cycle for the week on Friday night sometime.

Depends on the financial institution.

Banks usually don’t post on the weekends although they will show pending transactions.

Credit Unions do process. They will post.

Loadable Cards will sometimes post immediately.

All ach deposits which tax deposits are are sent with a date telling the financial institution. institution when to make them available.

The one I work at has ramped up staffing for tmw. For some reason they are expecting the phones to be off the chain.

Just be aware some ( like the one I work at) Do Not release to the customer the fact there is a deposit in the system ( although the banker can see it) reason being the sender has the right to rescind the deposit up to the release date.

So…..even if y’all call your bank tmw and are told they can’t see anything it might still be there…..they just can’t tell you due to bank guidelines.

I usually wake up to my deposit on Saturdays (has been this way for a few years) I believe the bank gets it the day prior though?
