I’ve been checking several different pages and seeing people that have deposits/or pending deposits with filing dates anywhere from 1/21-2/3 ….I’m seeing that a lot of the early January filers are still waiting,
Just an observation I thought I would share

You are seeing the randomness because some of the batches ran last in first out. Now if done on purpose I don’t know. I’m guessing IRS is trying to keep it unpredictable.

Question: Does anyone have a DDD with no 846 code on transcripts, and the “processing message” on WMR?
I filed and accepted on 1/23, I can order both transcripts, PATH message from 1/30-yesterday…..
            Now just the “Still processing”
            Cycle code: 20170405
            Processing date: 2/13/15

My neighbor filed 2/3 she had fees taken out, and her money hit her netspend a little after 4pm today. I saw the transaction for myself. Or else I wouldn’t have believed it.
It’s not just about fees, it’s also the way your bank is set up. Netspend and the liking post credit immediately. There is no holding.
This tax season is proving to be unpredictable. You really can’t use any method to the madness.

You should call Santa Barbara not check the website. You will probably get a better, more updated response :)

It is because when you have fees taken out the money has to change hands twice so it takes a bit longer. The people with no fees it goes straight to their bank so they get it instantly. For example, I have fees deducted and I used TT and Santa Barbara bank has received my refund. But I will not get it until tomorrow in my actual account.

So explain to me why several friends and family members who all filed through tt with fees taken out can check on sbtg (or whatever it’s called) and they say they have yet to receive funds and another handful of friends and family that paid fees up front got their money today?

                              @Kri$
That isn’t true. IRS does not dispurse refunds like that. The people who have fees just haven’t seen theirs yet because it has to change hands at 2 different banks

It is in order. They are sending those out to people that don’t have fees being taken out of their refunds. When you have your fees taken out I goes from IRS to the bank of the tax provider, then to you. If you paid fees up front IRS sends it straight to you.

I filed/was accepted on 1/31 with both PATH credits.

I can see my pending deposit for 2/22.

I think there is a 2/17 date that people with fees taken out will see tmrw. I think that’s where all of today’s “early” deposit are coming from..they hit that release button last night and that’s why most of us moved to processing today.

I didn’t file until 2/8. so I’m not expecting mine anytime soon.
I had been advised by a tax preparer to hold off until the 15th to file, or later, as the earlier you file with any new delay almost always throws you to the back of the line. She said it happened with delays in the past that way. Owell.. I think we will all see them soon enough. Tax season time always seems to be three times slower than real time.

I’m not necessarily bitter but I’m certainly jealous and more nervous…I filed back on 01/16/2017 accepted on the 17th and was able to order transcripts earlier this month… I’m just ugh at this point lol
