So I filed taxes for myself and two other people through TT, we all claimed credits and they have refunds in bank account. The crazy part is I actually did mine two weeks before them and have nothing.

@Will_B, Thank you for that. I am gonna stop now, partly because I am starting to get on my own nerves with all this lol and partly because I really don’t have alot more to say on this subject but thank you. I have never expected or felt like I was owed any thanks, gratitude, or anything like that for my service and honestly, I don’t really want any but it is nice to hear someone just say that “I understand that what you did was for all of us”. Thank you. In a world and country that is changing way too fast for my liking, it is good to know that some American values are still alive today. I have never cared what anyone’s thoughts are on the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan, all that I ask is that they separate their opinions on the wars from their opinions of the warriors. I joined the Army after 911 with the desire to go to Iraq or Afghanistan but, I also chose an MOS in the Army Corps of Engineers so that when our combat mission was complete, I could be a part of rebuilding the country for their next generation. Maybe that part didn’t go so well but I wish that more people could see that even though war is ugly, the warriors motivating factor is love for the people he left behind at home and sometimes, even for the people who his enemies have left behind. De Oppresso Libre…the most common translation means “to free the oppressed ” and that applies here 100%, but a less known translation is “from an oppressed man, a free one” or “from a caught man…. FREE” Which can definitely be applied to the addiction and recovery that we have pissed so many people off by talking about this morning. @no legs, I would like to talk to you more but not here. Keep looking at the threads that pop up today, I will make one later on and post an email address for you to email me if you would. You will know the thread when you see it, I am sure of it lol. —OUT

First off, Becoming an addict IS NOT SOMEONE’S DAMN FAULT! Not in all cases.. People get hurt, require pain management. It’s s proven fact that 92% of ALL humans are addicted to something. Addiction is NOT choice for those that love life in pain and suffering. Suboxone and Subutex are life saver for alot people. And they first step to recovery is too openly admit you have a problem. And for this Andrew dude, I have sat here and read your nonstop BS for a few weeks now. They do say that lonely, depressed and unhappy people pick apart those that attempt to fix their own lives. So Andrew, Take part of that return you are waiting on and go to a bar, find you a nice lady or man whichever you prefer and stop trying to bully people by acting like you know more than they do about their own problems. These guys/gals went to fight for YOUR and MY freedom, they fought for you just so you can hop on here when you want and not when someone says you can and criticize them for something they can not control by snapping their fingers. As for me, I could careless what you think about me because honestly your opinion means crap. However I do care about our veterans and will always stand with them. My apologies if this offends anyone other than this Andrew know it all and the other prick talking smack.
Also I saved a bunch of money by switch to Geico!

One veteran to another , I am gonna keep it real with you and throw some truth at you. I was seriously injured in Iraq on July 5th, 2005.They took me to the combat support hospital at Balad first and I was medevac`d out of Iraq to Landstuhl on July 7th and then on to Ireland Army Community Hospital at Ft. Knox about 2 months later. When I finally got back on the block, I was mad at the whole world and I was absolutely certain that not one person in it knew what I had been through so I was all alone and to me, that was just fine because that way, I had nobody else to worry about and I was off on a path of self loathing and self destruction. That lasted all the way up till a little bit over a year on suboxone! Once I finally got my head out of my 4th point of contact, I realized that while I wasn’t completely alone after all, I was solely responsible for my life and the only hand I had to play was the one I was dealt. It didn’t matter if it was fair or what I was supposed to get, it was what I had and I had to play those cards. You might be a PFC again, ( private F***ing civilian) but once a soldier, always a soldier so forget all that Airforce shit, soldier up and take your life back.

@legs,
I am also a combat veteran. I served in Iraq in 04 and 05. I was injured and when income home, I was put on many psyche meds for PTSD and also very strong narcotic pain medication. The psyche meds just made me worse so instead of taking their pharmaceutical cocktail, I started smoking marijuana. That worked fantastic but after a few months, they hit me with a UA and I pissed hot for THC and they immediately stopped my pain meds. Long story short, I found a non VA doc to prescribe my dilaudid bit I couldn’t afford it for very long and I started using heroin. After about 2 years, I hit rock bottom and asked the VA for some help and they put me on suboxone. I was on that for about 2 years as well. It saved my life but it really was another addiction, albeit a much safer one. For me, once the haze from the dope wore off, I began to see that the subs had as much control over me as the dope did and I began weining off of those. I am completely drug free now for just over a year. Suboxone, subutex, and methadone save lives and they are very important medications and I would never suggest anyone stop using them without careful planning and medical guidance from the Doc but just for the record, I hope that you can get off those too. Real freedom comes after you get off the methadone or subs and I hope that you will be able to do that soon. Whenever said that War is hell, was still deployed and had not come home yet because, at least in my experience, coming home is the hardest part of war. Welcome home brother.

@no legs
I am sure that I could scroll down and find the answer but I am as lazy as an old groundhog in February. Whatever you on now, suboxone or methadone? Like I said in an earlier comment, I was on suboxone for about 2 years and that was after 2 years of heroin and several years of prescribed dilaudid before that. Listen, I am not at all saying that either of those meds are bad, suboxone saved my life but… There is always a BUT lol, think of it like a spare tire. When you gotta flat, you aren’t going anywhere and you need to do something. That’s addiction. So, you look in the trunk and you have a donut tire for a spare, that’s subs,
methadone, etc. It’s not as good as the regular tire, which is regular, pre addiction life, but it beats the hell out of the flat tire and it will get you where you need to go but now, your destination has a detour because you need to get the other tire fixed. That’s the only way that you can get back up to regular traveling speed and make any progress on the trip. Does that make any sense? You can’t stay on those meds man, you will never get any quality of life back. Yes, you can get a much better life than you had in active addiction, but the suboxone or methadone still controls you and one mess up in your supply of medicine can lead you right back to the dope. I am not preaching, I am just sharing what I learned from my experience. They even have monthly shots that can replace methadone and subs now and that can work as a transition away from those meds. Small steps still provide forward motion. Sounds like you’re doing well but don’t get comfortable with the meds, it’s a means to an end, nothing more. -

Hey Andrew, I don’t know this no legs guy and I don’t know his story. Hell, I don’t even know if he is a real veteran. Some of the terms that he used don’t sound quite right but I don’t know, I have no real reason to question his veteran status. With that being said, let’s assume that he is a veteran as he has stated. I, too, am a combat veteran and I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 04 and 05. Yes, I (we) went to their homeland and yes, some of us did have to take human life while we were there but the fact that you think it was for “no reason “, shows that you do not deserve the freedom that has been provided for you. Regardless of your political views, service to our nation is a good cause and protection of our way of life is definitely a good reason. “For its defenders, freedom has a sweetness, a flavor the defended will never know”

How does anyone even get a $12,000 refund? That is half a years work for a lot of people. The most we have EVER got back around here is 3800 and that is with ACTC. If u can get back that much lump sum at the end of the year to pad your salary it’s no wonder no one wants to work a regular job. I feel cheated. I want my 12,000.
Seriously that is just wrong. That needs a cap or a limit. I’m shocked that even happens.
-
February 15, 2019 at 7:00 am #4270920Andrew
This is the most fucked up thread I’ve ever seen. There’s people literally celebrating and bragging that they are addicts. When did that become a badge of honor? If you are addicted to a man made drug that you took by choice (not including prescribed opioids) then you do NOT deserve any sympathy or help from other people. IT’S YOUR OWN DAMN FAULT.
And someone needs to finish the job on this NO LEGS guy. No one with that much hate should exist. You want to blame all your problems on Muslims, but your the one that chose to go over to their home and kill them for NO DAMN REASON.

I was taking 8mg dilaudid 6x per day before the VA stopped my script and I went to heroin out of necessity. I was shooting over a gram of H per day for 2 years before I got on suboxone. Suboxone saved my life but it really was another addiction and after 2 years on subs, I did ween off of those too. I am now 100% clean and have not even had a sub in over a year. Just keep moving forward, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Hey no legs I usually make almost $60k a year but took an unpaid leave so I made 37k this year and had a baby, this year imnFINALLY getting a refund. I’ve paid MORE than my share into this tax system. Not everyone getting a refund is a freeloader. And what do you care where your tax dollars go? U really have no idea where they truly go anyway! More than likely some politicians sidechicks “charity” work gtfoh
-
February 15, 2019 at 6:47 am #4270907JustSomeGuy
Josh, I am a combat veteran and I was on suboxone for about 2 years. Yes, your tax dollars did pay for my subs. They also paid for my dilaudid for severe chronic pain that was a result of the injuries that I received in Iraq, and led to my heroin addiction . I don’t think that a thank you is in order but I will acknowledge that your tax dollars did contribute to the cost but so did mine. Did your blood also contribute to the cost of the freedom that we all enjoy today? Mine did. It’s not that you couldn’t and I could, it’s that I did and you didn’t Relax man, if you don’t like the discussion, just keep scrolling. BTW, yes, subs, methadone, etc are a substitute but when you are on a drug that you can’t just stop without severe withdrawal, doesn’t a substitute make sense? It got me clean and I am 100% drug free now. I wouldn’t even be alive if not for suboxone, much less clean but it has been over a year since my last dose of suboxone. Enjoy your freedom, the cost has been paid for you.

@Franny… You know its a epidemic at least 1 person in everyones family in the United States is addicted to that Shit! Remember the doctors was giving prescription like it was water running . Its 75 year old people who are addicted also. They got a knee replacement the doctor kept prescribing pills and they got hook.
People do not judge please. -
February 15, 2019 at 5:56 am #4270817JustSomeGuy
Hey Josh, we get it. You are better than everyone and you got your shit together. Why not just skip over the posts that you don’t care for and stay out of the conversations that you don’t like? A meeting can happen anywhere and any time, all that is needed is 2 or more addicts and a desire to stay clean. I think it’s safe to say that a meeting has begun, welcome! The first step is to admit that you are powerless, so admit it and STFU. Have a great day.

-
February 15, 2019 at 5:30 am #4270798Ally!
I’m not knocking anyone but it just goes to show an addicts mentality and selfish attitude. Most people don’t give a shit about your methadone. Especially here. The fact you pay 700 a month for it proves your selfishness. I’m sure your kids could use that money…you will probably say your kids would prefer you on methadone than dope, but I say get clean like other people do. Sad thing is you can spot a methadonian from a Mile away. They have that hollow dead look in their faces. Going tonthe clinic every morning…doing the methadone shuffle. I dont care if you take home the pills, your still a walking dead man. You put it out there so dont get made if people put their 2 cents in as well.

Franny Ill do what i want its called freedom of speech. If you do not wish to partake in this discussion then simply do not engage. You shouldn’t judge without knowing someones reasons. I have a lot of ptsd from the conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina i was injured by shrapnel and became addicted to painkillers after having 5 surgeries to remove all the metal from my legs/knees. Medical Marijuana helps alleviate my anxieties.

well that the good part of doing things legally when you get tested you show your script and presto its all forgiven and the ones that were buying off the streets can now get jobs and get their lives back on track. Thats what the programs are for.

Meanwhile you still can fail smoking weed on a drug test and counts as a drug. So with that said keep collecting free money

I pay over 700 to go to the methadone clinic but that includes counseling medication and drug tests. Still its much better than the alternative. I was spending hundreds daily on hydros percs and morphine. Plus they provide my script of medical marijuana but i have to pay out of pocket at the dispensary after i use my monthly 15g voucher. Its usually 225 an ounce for high quality gran daddy purp. There is nothing better than doing drugs knowing you are 100% legal.

When i ask for suboxone they give me 8mg 3x a day and that is way too much. I can make one 10mg methadone last me all day long and its very effective for pain. Suboxone is for straight addicts with no history or injury. I was taking 10 perc 10’s a day and that was getting expensive.

Bad addit just on pain pills I been on Subs for 3 years Christmas get my life when are to methadone clinic do. Let me goto 110mg I was just chSing a high that was the worst to come off of. Could be why I hate it, I did abuse it so guess I can’t be one to judge it

I guess it really depends too and the state of the addiction. Each person is different. As long as one gets help and it is effective than it shouldnt matter which option they go with. Suboxone does not help pain and i have injuries so maybe thats why i prefer the methadone.

Suboxone sucks. Ive got both and i prefer the methadone. I dont have cravings for methadone when i stop taking them like i do when i stop suboxone.

Wow some people are crazy They do not need to prove a damn thing to anyone. Ill take them at their word if they say they got it then they probably did. Only a sour jealous hater would be upset over someone else getting their refund first. You must be fiending bad. Craving that warm and fuzzy feeling? That itch that can only be induced by the drugs that ravage your body? Or perhaps that instantaneous feeling of well-being? Drugs suck. Im on methadone now anyone battling prescription drug addiction should really try Methadone it works great. it really helps curve the urge to use . But if its crack or meth than the methadone wont help.

Seriously asking people to post pics?
It’s not that deep, and how will that affect YOUR return..
If the thread started is lying, oh well, I don’t think they are lying, we are right on the line of refunds being released, and it’s totally plausible at this point -

I don’t doubt that later this evening and all through tomorrow we’ll start seeing deposits drop but of course highly doubt there will be movement on WMR

For everyone saying it’s impossible, IT IS. You all must’ve forgotten last year when literally thousands of people started getting deposits on 15th and 16th. Those were all people with prepaid cards though, I’ve never heard of regular bank accounts posting funds this early.

Bobby Hill I would but I kind of don’t feel right asking them to send me a screenshot of there bank accounts.. They are not family or anything just co-workers.. I’m like everyone else, I don’t have anything but just telling people that people are getting deposits.

If people think someone is lying, please don’t take it personal . You could be literally ANYONE. I think it be a good idea to provide proof if you get your refund.

I’ve never gotten the path message since it started. Starting to wonder if I should be worried that I don’t have it. Hopefully something updates by Saturday.

Melissa, I filed 2/1 had one bar, and then path message and then full transcripts 4-5 days later.

All 3 of our WMR just has PATH with 152 code as of now. They have Bank of America and I have a prepaid card which I also would have thought mine would have hit before them. I did mine on 1/14 and I did the other two on 1/29 and 1/30

February 14, 2019 at 12:12 pm #4269692
Like last year and the year before that, they may have had CTC but not EIC or ACTC.
-
February 14, 2019 at 12:08 pm #4269685Melissa
What does WMR say for you? I filed 2/1 and accepted within minutes and have been stuck at 1 bar with no path message..only tt152

Bobby Hill, I thought the same thing.. I was shocked especially that they got it before I did.. I don’t have a reason to lie, could care less about anyone on here just letting people know some people have gotten refunds claiming credits.
